**WE ARE A NON-PROFIT (NP) NEWS SERVICE AND NOT THE AA COUNTY GOVT. Sorry for the loud caps, but we didn't want to waste your time telling you that we are the "Go-To" channel for breaking news in Anne Arundel County. And that we created a national NP News Network based on the AAFA model. First Alert Nation was created for the purpose of

providing "Hyper-Local" information to our subscribers, nationwide. All in real-time. Of course, by the time we tell you all this, you're probably still wondering why we won't come out and plow your street or take your recycling? Again it's because we are a *News Service and not the AA County Government. However, as a non-profit service, we can take donations! So if you don't have any luck getting the County to plow your street or take your recycling, call us! There's nothing like seeing a group of geeky reporters shoveling snow! Update from Anne Arundel County Government on Cyberattack : No timeline for full resolution with expectations for a multi day event effecting government operations…

Update as of 12:30 pm on Sunday, February 23, 2025:
The county is taking the most proactive approach to ensure our systems are safe. Precautionary measures include limiting access to the Internet until we are able to return to full operations.

Based on our conversations with cyber specialists, this is a multi-day event. We do not have a timeline for full service restoration yet.

We are engaging with each department to identify and discuss their current state of operational needs.

We will provide more updates as they become available.
