Because for me it's not about being on every platform just to make money. It's about being where it matters most for me and the vision for my business.
One of the best first modules in this digital marketing course is all around your mission, vision and values. And not every social media platform aligns with my values.
Tons of people have found success utilizing multiple platforms, and maybe at some point, I will venture out into other spaces, but I think it's misleading and unnecessary for people to be mentoring their customers with this advice in the beginning. Especially if they've never been in business on social media.
It's hard to find your groove and each platform is vastly different, with different rules and audiences. What works on one platform definitely may not work on the other.
For me, IG is the place where I can engage in longer, more meaningful connections and build a supportive community. Once I've established this community, then I will think about branching out into others.
You don't have to do all the things in all the places to be successful, especially if it means your tying up more of your time and energy to a business that's supposed to be affording you the exact opposite.
