CHICAGO - A man has been charged with murder in the strangulation of a missing 15-year-old girl a week ago in the South Shore neighborhood.

Joshua Williams, 24, allegedly choked 15-year-old Amarise A. Parker to death, on Dec. 12 in an apartment building in the 7200 block of South Phillips Avenue, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner's office.

15-yr-old Kidonnie Smith Jr. has been identified by the Cook County M.E. as the teen found shot/burned to death Friday overnight 🕊🕯🥀🌥✝

On Friday Morning, Dec. 15th, 2023, around 2:08am, Chicago Police & Chicago Fire Department responded to a call of a car fire in the alley of 37th & Parnell. When they arrived, CFD put the fire out, but found a body inside the trunk badly burned. He was later identified as 15yo Kidonnie. He was pronounced 0-1-1-0 (DOA) on scene 😔💔

It was also determined by the M.E. that Kidonnie suffered several Gsws to the neck & chest, which was possibly his cause of death.

Lansing PD is working with CPD in the investigation after the burned car is stolen out of Lansing IL.

CPD has no suspect in custody as Area 1 Detectives are investigating. Anyone with information on this homicide can go to CPDTIP.COM to remain anonymous, or contact Chicago Police 9th District (312)747-8227.

Chicago man, Jermaine Minor age 23, has been accused of selling 7 guns to an Undercover Federal ATF Agent on four different times has been jailed while waiting trial on a state gunrunning charge.

Within 4 months, these were allegedly sold in a Walgreens parking lot: a 5.56-millimeter rifle and two Polymer 80 “ghost guns,” three 9-millimeter pistols, and a “privately made CPMF AR pistol” without a serial number.

Chicago police officers claimed that he made $200 to $300 by selling guns, but it’s unclear if that is the total or for each firearm.

Investigators say they found three men who had been shot. Two of them were dead and a third was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital where he also died.

They say the three men were the only ones involved in the shooting.

One of the men was 17 years old, another was in his early 20s and the third was in his late 30s. Their identities have not been released.
