The modern Liberty movement has experienced quite the revival over the last 10 years, with names such as Rothbard, Mises, Friedman, and Bastiat returning to the societal lexicon. Hot button policy issues are now being discussed and criticized from a Libertarian minded point of view, such as non-interventionism in foreign affairs and the problem of domestic spying at home. Pauls presidential campaigns, both in 2008 and 2012, did much to expose a whole generation of young people to the ideals of liberty, as well as bring back many of those from previous generations who felt misrepresented by their own parties. As well, the Libertarian Party proper has seen renewed growth, becoming the nations third largest and fastest growing political party in recent times. Libertarian Party candidate for president in 2012, former Governor Gary Johnson, made waves by setting an all time party record for most raw votes garnered in a presidential election, coming in at 1.2 million nationally. Now we wait and watch as the 2016 election rolls in. As it seems, the Liberty movement is poised to become stronger than ever. As more and more Americans begin to feel disenfranchised by the two major parties, they’ll start to see through the facade of the Washington establishment. The disgruntled citizens of this country will look for a candidate or a group to represent them and make their voices be heard. That’s essentially what prompted me to create this website. I wanted a platform to voice my concerns for the future of our country and countries around the world. The problems we face globally are mounting, and the people of the world demand something different than what we’ve been getting the last 25 years. Hopefully this medium can be used to open the discussion, and present the idea that in the principles of liberty, answers may be found.
