HURRICANE IAN CLEANUP TOOL - THE RHINO 1000 BATTERY POWERED PORTABLE WINCH.

The Mile Marker Industries team sends prayers and well wishes to all of our Florida neighbors affected by Hurricane Ian. We are open for business and we have a great tool which can be very helpful to move things along in recovery. The Rhino 1000 portable winch and the straps and shackles and accessories, is a great place to start. It's portable, battery powered, weighs just 17 lbs. and can pull or winch 1000 lbs. with 39' of rope.

While it is available on our website and available at various retailers, Mile Marker believes In being a good neighbor (we are a Pompano Beach, FL company) and is making demo units available at no cost to Florida gulf coast county emergency response, police/fire/EMS/National Guard, USCoast Guard and other public agencies assisting in the cleanup from Hurricane Ian.

We also have towing and recovery straps, shackles, receiver mount shackles, recovery gear, winches and other items for pulling and towing.

All jokes aside, how much further could a Tesla owner with a 1" hitch and a small utility trailer filled with solar panels go??? If you could get 500 miles out of an electric car instead of 400 miles and speed up the time sitting on a charger, wouldn't that be worth it??? What if the aftermarket started addressing the electric car market with things like charging trailers???

Pretty rad--and practical. You worked with what you had, and if you had a V-8 car that had the power to pull but the not cooling system to keep up, auxiliary additions were the obvious solution.

Here is an early 1950s photo along Route 66 at the Summit of Cajon Pass, California. The Buick pulling a trailer has a desert water bag hanging from their front bumper which was the right thing to do back then when driving in the desert when the radiator would overheat. It looks like their trailer is called "The Magic Carpet."
