Little pieces… over time.
They were so small that I didn’t notice. So I became someone who I wasn’t, because it’s what he wanted.
One day I was me, and another I was someone else who I couldn’t recognize.
I was a stranger to my own self.
I lost myself for a long time, and now that i’m finally trying to be me again; i’m scared. Because I can hardly trace back the things he took, and I’m terrified of the idea of losing these pieces for good.”

Attachment is temporary.

Love is ego-reducing or -neutral,
Attachment is ego-boosting.

Love empowers you,
Attachment makes you powerless.

Love accepts you for who you are,
Attachment wants you change.

Love is sharing,
Attachment is controlling and manipulative.

Love is easy, simple, and peaceful,
Attachment is difficult, complicated and draining.

It’s not about the apology, it’s the accountability that matters.
