Keanu Reeves 🥰🥰
This is Matrix movie star Keanu Reeves. He was abandoned by his father at 3 years old and grew up with 3 different stepfathers. He is dyslexic. His dream of becoming a hockey player was shattered by a serious accident. His daughter died at birth. His wife died in a car accident. His best friend, River Phoenix, died of an overdose. His sister battled leukemia.
No bodyguards, no luxury houses. Keanu lives in an ordinary apartment and likes wandering around town and often seen riding a subway in NYC.
When he was filming the movie "The Lake House," he overheard the conversation of two costume assistants, one crying as he would lose his house if he did not pay $20,000 - On the same day, Keanu deposited the necessary amount in his bank account. In his career, he has donated large sums to hospitals including $75 million of his earnings from “The Matrix” to charities.
In 2010, on his birthday, Keanu walked into a bakery & bought a brioche with a single candle, ate it in front of the bakery, and offered coffee to people who stopped to talk to him.
In 1997 some paparazzi found him walking one morning in the company of a homeless man in Los Angeles, listening to him and sharing his life for a few hours.
In life, sometimes the ones most broken from inside are the ones most willing to help others.
This man could buy everything, and instead every day he gets up and chooses one thing that cannot be bought

He is best known for his portrayal as ""Mo"" in the Paramount Network series Yellowstone. Moses Brings Plenty was born on the Pine Ridge Reservation, in South Dakota. He is a direct descendant of Brings Plenty, an Oglala Lakota warrior who fought in the Battle of Little Big Horn. His wife is Sara Ann Haney-Brings Plenty. His nephew Cole Brings Plenty portrays Pete Plenty Clouds in two episodes of 1923.
As an actor, he has played bit parts in Hidalgo, Thunderheart, and Pirates of the Caribbean. He also played Quanah Parker in the History Channel documentary Comanche Warrior, which was filmed on the Wild Horse Sanctuary in the southern Black Hills, and Crazy Horse on The History Channel's Investigating History documentary ""Who Killed Crazy Horse"" and the BBC documentary series The Wild West. He acted in Rez Bomb, considered to be the first movie with a universal storyline set on a reservation. Rez Bomb has been part of the international film festival circuit instead of playing strictly to Native American film festivals, which is a major breakthrough for Native cinema.
In addition to doing theater work in Nebraska, he also portrayed an Apache warrior in the 2011 science fiction western film Cowboys & Aliens and a character named Shep Wauneka in Jurassic World Dominion in 2022.
Brings Plenty is concerned about providing accurate representations of Native peoples in mass media. He says, ""Young people told me they don’t see our people on TV. Then it hit me, they are right. Where are our indigenous people, people who are proud of who they are?"" Brings Plenty also works behind the scenes on Yellowstone and its spin-off prequels 1883 and 1923 as Taylor Sheridan's American Indian Affairs Coordinator to make sure that each show appropriately represents Native culture."

On June 25, 1876, a battalion of the 7th Cavalry, led by George Armstrong Custer, was wiped out by an overwhelming force of Lakota, Dakota, Northern Cheyenne, and Arapaho.
There are many stories that come from this most famous battle of the Indian Wars. However, the most overlooked account is of the women warriors who fought alongside their male counterparts.
Minnie Hollow Wood, Moving Robe Woman, Pretty Nose (pictured), One-Who-Walks-With-The-Stars, and Buffalo Calf Road Woman were among the more notable female fighters.
Pretty Nose fought with the Cheyenne/Arapaho detachment.
One-Who-Walks-With-The-Stars (Lakota) killed two soldiers trying to flee the fight.
Minnie Hollow Wood earned a Lakota war-bonnet for her participation, a rare honor.
Lakota Moving Robe Woman fought to avenge the death of her brother.
And Cheyenne Buffalo Calf Road Woman holds the distinction of being the warrior who knocked Custer off his horse, hastening the demise of the over-confident Lt. Colonel.

Adam Beach, a member of the Saulteaux (Plains Ojibwe) nation, has had a significant impact on both the entertainment industry and his community. Born and raised on the Dog Creek Reserve near Ashern, Manitoba, Beach was exposed to his cultural heritage from a young age, which played a crucial role in shaping his identity.
Despite facing various challenges and obstacles, Beach has managed to make a name for himself in the world of acting. His breakthrough role came in the 1998 film Smoke Signals, where he portrayed Victor Joseph, a troubled Native American young man. This performance not only showcased his acting abilities but also highlighted his deep understanding of the Native American experience. With his genuine portrayal, Beach captured the attention of audiences and critics alike, solidifying his position as a respected actor.
However, Beach's impact extends beyond the screens. He has dedicated a significant portion of his time and resources to uplifting Indigenous communities and empowering Native youths. As a motivational speaker, Beach has provided guidance and inspiration to First Nations youth, encouraging them to pursue their dreams and overcome the challenges they may face. His presence in the media as a successful Indigenous actor serves as a powerful symbol of hope and possibility for young people who may otherwise feel marginalized.
In 2012, Beach took his commitment to his community one step further by founding the Adam Beach Film Institute. This non-profit organization, based in Winnipeg, aims to equip at-risk Native youth with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in the film industry. Recognizing the importance of representation and diversity in the media, Beach has created a platform that allows Indigenous voices to be heard and Indigenous stories to be told. Through this initiative, he has empowered Native youth to reclaim their narratives and challenge the stereotypes that too often persist in mainstream media.
Furthermore, Beach has used his platform as an ambassador for Canada's 150th birthday celebrations to advocate for Indigenous issues. Acknowledging the painful history that Indigenous people have endured, Beach strives to ensure their stories are not forgotten. He emphasizes the need to confront the atrocities that have been committed against Aboriginal people and to educate future generations about their heritage. By doing so, he aims to promote healing, understanding, and reconciliation throughout Canada.
Adam Beach's contributions to both the entertainment industry and his community exemplify his dedication and passion for making a difference. Through his acting, charity work, and activism, he has become an influential figure, inspiring others to embrace their cultural identities, pursue their dreams, and create positive change. As an ambassador for Indigenous voices and stories, Beach continues to advocate for the rights and representation of all Indigenous peoples, leaving a lasting impact on both the entertainment industry and society as a whole.

Why Isn’t This Map in the History Books?
By the age of 10, most children in the United States have been taught all 50 states that make up the country. But centuries ago, the land that is now the United States was a very different place. Over 20 million Native Americans dispersed across over 1,000 distinct tribes, bands, and ethnic groups populated the territory.
The ancestors of living Native-Americans arrived in North America about 15,000 years ago. As a result, a wide diversity of communities, societies, and cultures finally developed on the continent over the millennia.
The population figure for Indigenous peoples in the Americas before the 1492 voyage of Christopher Columbus was estimated at 70 million or more.
About 562 tribes inhabited the contiguous U.S. territory. The ten largest North American Indian Tribal Nations were: Arikara, Cherokee, Iroquois, Pawnee, Sioux, Apache, Eskimo, Comanche, Choctaw, Cree, Ojibwa, Mohawk, Cheyenne, Navajo, Seminole, Hope, Shoshone, Mohican, Shawnee, Mi’kmaq, Paiute, Wampanoag, Ho-Chunk, Chumash, Haida.
A tribal map of Pre-European North America, Central America, and the Caribbean by Michael Mcardle-Nakoma (1996) is featured below. It is an important historical document for those of us who have Native-American blood running through our veins.
This map gives a Native-American perspective on the events that unfolded in North America, Central America, and the Caribbean by placing the tribes in full flower ~ the “Glory Days.” It is pre-contact from across the eastern sea or, at least, before that contact seriously affected change.
Stretching over 400 years, the time of contact was quite different from tribe to tribe. For instance, the “Glory Days” of the Maya and Aztec came to an end very long before the interior tribes of other areas, with some still resisting almost until the 20th Century.
At one time, numbering in the tens of millions, the Native peoples spoke close to 4,000 languages.
The Americas’ European conquest, which began in 1492, ended in a sharp drop in the Native-American population through epidemics, hostilities, ethnic cleansing, slavery, and the Indian Removal Act of 1830. An estimated 60 million Native-Americans were killed by this combination of events.
When the United States was founded, established Native American tribes were viewed as semi-independent nations, as they commonly lived in communities separate from white immigrants.
Today, American Indians and Alaskan Natives account for 9.7 million people, according to the 2020 Census.
History is not there for you to like or dislike. It is there for you to learn from it. And if it offends you, even better. Because then you are less likely to repeat it. It’s not yours for you to erase or destroy.

Children are sacred in all Indigenous cultures. Protect our children and keep them with their families.
A little Pikuni (Blackfeet) boy wearing wool leggings and a breechcloth in the 1890’s. Children wore small versions of adult clothing, included beaded outfits and dresses, along with ceremonial items such as headdresses. Boys usually wore nothing but breechcloths during warm weather, as did many men. The ears of children were pierced quite early, usually by older women who first recounted four noted deeds — like warriors — regarding such work as hide tanning and lodge (tipi) making. The main time to pierce ears was during Sun Dance inside the Medicine Lodge. Pikuni children learned by watching their elders and imitating their actions.

The Tecumseh Poem “So live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about their religion; respect others in their view, and demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life, beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and its purpose in the service of your people. Prepare a noble death song for the day when you go over the great divide. Always give a word or a sign of salute when meeting or passing a friend, even a stranger, when in a lonely place. Show respect to all people and bow to none. When you arise in the morning, give thanks for the food and for the joy of living. If you see no reason for giving thanks, the fault lies only in yourself. Abuse no one and nothing, for abuse turns the wise ones to fools and robs the spirit of its vision. When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.” Chief Tecumseh, 1768 – 1813

Missed the first 20 minutes of the party dedicated to the end of filming of his new film in one of the clubs in New York.
He waited patiently in the rain to be let in.
No one recognized him.
The club owner said: "I didn't even know Keanu was standing in the rain waiting to be let in - he didn't say anything to anyone."
"He travels by public transport".
"He easily communicates with homeless people on the street and helps them".
- He is only 58 years old (September 2, 1964)
- He can just eat a hot dog in the park, sitting between ordinary people.
- After filming one of the "Matrix", he gave all the stuntmen a new motorcycle - in recognition of their skill.
- He gave up most of the fee for the salaries of costume designers and computer scientists who draw special effects in "The Matrix" - decided that their share of participation in the budget of the film was underestimated.
- He reduced his fee in the film The Devil's Advocate" to have enough money to invite Al Pacino.
- Almost at the same time his best friend died; his girlfriend lost a child and soon died in a car accident, and his sister fell ill with leukemia.
Keanu did not break: he donated $5 million to the clinic that treated his sister, refused to shoot (to be with her), and created the Leukemia Foundation, donating significant sums from each fee for the film.
You can be born a man, but to remain one..
