HON. (DR) ITOROBONG ETIM RECEIVES ROYAL BLESSINGS
..promise more dividend of democracy
..as Ntukudeh, Koko, Ekpeyong, Okon, Bush Ors move for Political stability in Uruan

The state lawmaker for Uruan State Constituency, Hon. Itorobong Etim, Ph.D, has reiterated her avowed commitment to bring closer to the people the dividend of democracy through effective representation in the 8th assembly.

Dr Etim made the promise during her thank-you visit to the Paramount Ruler of Uruan, His Royal Majesty, Edidem Atakpo Cosmos Nkanga, at the Uruan Traditional Rulers Council Secretariat, Friday 13th October.

The Uruan lawmaker who presented her score card, said she has moved three motions, drawing the state government's attention to the Erosion Menace in Eman Uruan village, motion for the activation of Nyong Essien Model Secondary School, Issiet Ekim, and has presented a matter of Urgent Public importance, seeking government intervention into the age-long crises in Akpa Mfri Ukim village and Odukpani community in Cross River State. She noted noted with delight the increasing number of entrepreneurs in the fashion industry and in ICT, through her skill training programme which is currently running and promised to train more youths in electronic repairs, in her next phase of the programme. Said, "the aim is to tackle unemployment in the area, in view of the forthcoming empowerment scheme.

"I came here to thank my fathers who believed in me and sent me to speak and attract development in Uruan State Constituency. Four months now, the people can attest to effective representation", Dr Etim said.

She thanked the royal fathers and political stakeholders for standing by her during the electioneering process, affirming her readiness to collaborate with the traditional fathers to advance the course of Uruan Nation, with an enduring legacy.

The Paramount Ruler of Uruan, His Royal Majesty Edidem Cosmos Nkanga, who blessed the Uruan lawmaker, congratulated Dr Etim on her victor
