Garden Tip of the Day: Hollyhocks are a biennial plant. Biennials usually form a basal rosette in their first year, gathering energy to allow them to flower and produce seeds in their second. Other examples of biennials include Honesty (Lunaria) and Foxgloves (Digitalis).
