Dino Ice Eggs are a cool way to keep your littles entertained on a hot day! Simply fill a bowl or balloon with dinos and water. Freeze as long as everyone can wait and let the fun begin!
Hot tip: if using a bowl, line with cellophane for easy removal and if using a balloon make sure to stretch prior to shoving dinos in and fill as you would a typical water balloon. Check out pdxparent.com for more summer activity inspiration. ☀️

Did you know that ‘The Peanut Butter Tree’ can be found all over Oregon? Scientific name: Clerodendrum Trichotomum, or Harlequin Glory Bower is native from Eastern China and Japan. The leaves produce a sweet peanut butter smell when gently rubbed. Fragrant lily-scented white flowers bloom in late Summer with red pods opening to reveal bright, blue fruit.

Farm animals = our favorite tantrum cure. Share with a friend you’d like to take to @highlandfarms_oregon ! If you want to book a stay at the lodge or cottage (or, coming soon, glamping frontier tents), I can see this being a great meet up spot for a long-distance friends get-together. For a quick visit, tours are around $50/person, and super informative. This place is a gem!
We received a free tour, and my daughter can’t stop texting her friends about it.
