Since 2014, Ninety Over Ninety has interviewed and recorded the life stories of nonagenarians (those over 90 years old) and centenarians (those over 100 years old). These stories are archived at this website and offer an oral history of what life was like in the 1910’s, 20’s ,30’s, 40’s, 50’s and 60’s and are rich with the struggles, triumphs, and ordinary trials and tribulations of day to day liv

Beverly Ohler was born in Newark, New Jersey on November 22, 1931. Her early life was spent in and around New York City and provided an opportunity to pursue a career in art and design. While attending art school she began work as an artist for the luxury department store Bergdorf Goodman in Manhattan, an opportunity of a lifetime for a young artist still in her teens. Beverly has written about her serendipitous encounter with movers and shakers of the world of art design that, along with her talent, landed her the job. Coming soon to ninetyoverninety.com her wonderful essay with photographs of her early fashion watercolors under the tab, 900 Words and in the interview section. Also the next Instagram post shows a couple examples of her work at Bergdorf. Beverly is the author of five books documenting her love of art, theater and animals.
