Chances are, you don’t live in a marginal constituency. That means how you vote in 2015 is pretty much irrelevant. The thing that matters is what the voters in marginal constituencies think. Ultimately, how these voters cast their ballots on 7th May 2015 will determine the composition of the next government. This will be decided as much by national as by local concerns. Journalism that is local, f

ace-to-face, and detailed, is called for.

50for15 strives to provide such journalism. The project, run by three recent Oxford graduates, will focus on fifty marginal constituencies of 2015’s general election. We will visit each of these constituencies. We will shadow campaigns and meet the voters. We will write from first-hand experience. The blog that you see here will change over time. From January 2015 we will travel to the constituencies in earnest. Till then, the blog will host briefer articles: interviews with those involved in the fifty most marginal constituencies, and the results of our surveying of voters’ opinions.
