This past weekend I was fortunate enough to harvest my second animal ever with the help of some good people.

My first Tundra Swan! What an awesome day. Then I went duck hunting for the first time and bagged a hen shoveler, hen goldeneye, and hen bufflehead.

I got to try out some new gear and it all performed wonderfully!

Finally got to put the Optics B.6 12x50 binos through a few days of the muzzle loader deer hunt this past week. They felt good and easy on my eyes. On a tripod I felt like I could see anything. Saw lots of Does, but no bucks. Maybe next year!

What's your favorite subscription box?

Just got my first box from Sportsman's Box! Not bad. The fishing stuff isn't quite the right size for the type of fishing I do, but we'll see how next month's box goes. Looking forward to seeing what comes in the following months. I'm trying out six months worth of different subscription boxes to find the best ones!

Anyone run vinyl wraps on their guns? How do they hold up? I just applied a Premium Skins wrap onto my Tikka T3x CTR. I didn't get it on perfectly but I am happy with it.

I was fortunate enough to be able to borrow and test out the U.S. Optics DRS 2.0 Enhanced red dot sight. I really liked it and need to try and get one of my own in the near future. Anyone else have experience with one?

I recently bought this FN America 509C MRD as a potential carry piece to replace my SIG SAUER P365 but was kind of disappointed in the 509. It's far bigger than I anticipated for a compact pistol (it's basically the same dimensions as my AREX defense Delta M or G***K 23). But the biggest thing I'm disappointed about is the ambi mag release. When I push the mag release button in, the other side pushes into my finger and the mag doesn't release easily. Anyone else run into this issue? This is the first pistol I've had this issue on, and I have pistols with ambi mag releases.
