“Lay me Down “अंग्रेज़ी का पहला गीत जब बेटे को उसकी अमेरिकन गुरू सीखा रही थी तब मेरी साधारण बुद्धि गीत के शब्दों की जटिलता से भरसक संघर्ष कर रही थी “Your touch, your skin, where do I begin?” मेरे अंदर गीत को पूरा समझने की इच्छा मर गई और मेरा रूपांतरण एक पारंपरिक अभिभावक में हुआ। मैंने अपने पति से कहा ये क्या सीखा रहे हैं पाँचवीं क्लास के बच्चे को? हमने तो गीत-संगीत को अच्छे शब्दों से गुथा ही जाना था। बहरहाल बेटे से अक्सर बहस गीत के शब्दों को लेकर अभी भी होती रहती है। आज वो थोडा बड़ा हुआ है कुछ करने की चाह पनपने लगी है। अपनी क्षमता को कुछ इस तरह संजोने का पहला प्रयास किया है अपने नये गीत के साथ “तेरे बिन मैं क्यू” गीत हमारे वीर जवानों को समर्पित है। अपनी और अपने दोस्तों की कलात्मक उर्जा के साथ “तेरे बिन मैं क्यूं “ बनाया है।
