** 8/28/2024 - 3:00 PM CT UPDATE **
The potential for severe weather this evening has increased across parts of south central North Dakota. The orange shaded area (level 3 out of 5) has the highest potential for severe thunderstorms with hail up to the size of tennis balls, damaging winds up to 70 mph, and a tornado or two possible. Storm initiation still appears to occur around 6:00 PM CT, depending on forecast model. Stay weather aware this evening!

Isolated to scattered severe thunderstorms remain possible across a small portion of western North Dakota, and all of central and eastern North Dakota late this afternoon through tonight. Primary initiation appears to be between 4-6 PM CT. The main hazards over central North Dakota will be hail up to the size of tennis balls and damaging winds up to 70 mph. A tornado or two is also possible. Be sure to have multiple ways to receive warnings.

The NOAA NWS Storm Prediction Center has upgraded western North Dakota, eastern Montana and northern South Dakota to an enhanced risk for severe weather tonight. 7-1-2024 - ⚠️ Silver Alert Update⚠️

UPDATED WITH CANCELLATION - The Silver Alert issued by NDHP and NDBCI on 6/30/2024 has been cancelled. Alpha "Al" Ault has been safely located by law enforcement officials.

6-30-24 ⚠️SILVER ALERT ⚠️

A Silver Alert is being issued by NDHP and ND BCI at the request of Morton County Sheriff's office.

Alpha Ault of Mandan North Dakota is an 84-year old white male. He is 5 foot 9 inches tall, weighs 170 pounds and has grey hair and blue eyes.

His last known whereabouts were on June 30th at 4:30 pm near Huff Hills, North Dakota.

Alpha is wearing a black shirt, blue jeans, a brown belt and sneakers. Alpha is a vulnerable adult male

If you have any information regarding this incident, please contact Morton County Sheriff's office at 701-667-3330.
