Good Looks announce their electric new album Lived Here For A While, out June 7, and share the video “If It’s Gone."
Watch the video & preorder your copy on magenta vinyl: https://keeledscales.com/news/6173
The follow-up to Good Looks’ critically acclaimed 2022 debut Bummer Year, Lived Here For A While trades the Americana sound that colored in the lines of their debut for clanging post-punk guitars and expansive indie rock. The album was tracked at Dandy Sounds with producer/engineer Dan Duszynski (of Loma and Cross Record). Frontman Tyler Jordan’s primary focus on Lived Here For A While is dissecting relationships of all kinds: familial, platonic, creative, and romantic. His songs explore how they can crumble irrevocably but also how those partnerships can be centering, hopeful, and exciting.
The band will be playing SXSW next week and have announced a June Midwest tour.

Tenci shares a dreamlike video today for "Swallow Me Whole, Blue" from their new album 'A Swollen River, A Well Overflowing.'
Songwriter/guitarist Jess Shoman offers: "Blue" was my mom's childhood dog who was poisoned by the kids who lived next door. They gave him some sort of drug that made him go crazy and he quickly deteriorated. My grandma and her four kids immigrated to a suburb in Illinois from Belize, so that wasn't a very warm welcome. The song is from the perspective of 'Blue' swallowing me instead of the poison so that I could protect him from evil. The grief behind 'Swallow Me Whole, Blue' has stuck with me like a deep bruise."

New Moriah Bailey music video "The Ocean Life" out Tuesday!
New music video from Moriah Bailey coming soon!
New music from Moriah Bailey coming next week!
Thrilled to finally share the news of Oklahoma harpist/songwriter Moriah Bailey's (fka sun riah) new album ‘i tried words.’
Today we share the music video for the final song on the album, “Not Staying,” a triumphant goodbye and a joyous new beginning.
Directed and envisioned by Nicole Emmons and Angela Renee Chase, the accompanying music video exemplifies the album’ attention to growth and femininity through technicolor floral arrangements that dance across the screen as Bailey plays the harp.

“Vanishing Coin” is the new single from Tenci's forthcoming album ‘A Swollen River, A Well Overflowing’ out November 4, 2022.
Listen/Watch/Pre-Order HERE: lnk.to/tenci
Songwriter Jess Shoman: “Something that’s been hard to cope with as an adult is that meaningful friendships might not always exist in the same way as time ticks forward. ‘Vanishing Coin’ is about wading through the quiet loss and change of friendships. Through that grief comes clarity of what remains and the importance of harnessing that.”
