Yosemite became more than a picturesque escape; it became the symbol of their shared journey. When the time came to celebrate their union, the couple knew there was no better place than the heart of Yosemite. Entrusting their special day to an adventure photographer, they sought to capture the scale and splendor of the park while standing amidst its grandeur.

The resulting photos beautifully reflected not only the natural wonder that surrounded them but also the deep love Doreese and Clay share. Having exchanged vows in October 2021, the couple now resides in Olympia, WA, where their elopement became a cherished moment shared with three special witnesses, sealing their love story among the towering pines and cascading waterfalls of Yosemite.

Their dating journey began when both were working in the athletic department for the football team — Daniel was intrigued by Raina’s beauty, smarts and knowledge of sports. She was the complete package. Raina was equally impressed, and the two became an item.

Come time to propose, Brandon waited until Christmas Eve to propose to his forever date, Khalia. Back when each was in college, their first date was at the Skyview Ferris Wheel in the city.

Brandon sought to recreate that moment as he whisked Khalia off to the Ferris wheel but was sure to have close friends waiting nearby to document the moment and celebrate with them afterwards. It was magical and reminiscent. Khalia immediately said yes!

Courtney & Kevin used planner to help execute a red-carpet laden afternoon wedding in May in North Carolina. With 170 guests bearing witness to their union, Courtney’s father walked her down the aisle, marking the beginning of a beautiful chapter in their lives.

In a nod to tradition, both sets of parents gave them away, and in Congolese culture, Courtney and Kevin honored their godparents, adding cultural significance to a day filled with music, love and joy.

In the hallowed halls of the academia, where research papers meet late-night laughter, Courtney and Kevin’s love story unfolded. Kevin, who possesses a bachelor’s degree from St. John’s University but was striving for his doctorate degree in Chemistry met Courtney, a graduate of University of North Carolina, while she was also furthering her education by attending the University of Michigan for her doctorate in psychology.

At a traditional fall wedding, on October 15, 2022, and Tori and Ryan celebrated their love at their wedding, attended by 200 cherished guests. Tori was escorted down the aisle by her loving father and the couple chose to have a full Catholic mass ceremony at the exquisite and historic church that served cathedral vibes.

Later for the reception, Ryan made sure to bring out his Nikes so he could fully enjoy all of the dancing that kept everyone up late into the night. The two danced the night away, celebrating their nuptials with their loved ones.

Tori & Ryan's paths crossed thanks to The University of Toledo, when mutual friends introduced the two to one another while they both attended college there. But it wasn't until their fateful first date that their love story truly began.

After some time of dating, Ryan's family orchestrated a vacation to Glacier National Park, setting the stage for a momentous event neither Tori nor their friends and family anticipated. As they embarked on the Grinnell Lake Trail, little did Tori know that this hike would mark a pivotal moment in their journey. Amidst the stunning beauty of nature, with the grandeur of mountains and the serenity of a glacier-fed lake, Ryan chose the perfect spot to propose.

Loren & Mark celebrated their big day with an intimate candlelit dinner. Their hotel ballroom ceremony was officiated by a close friend, and Loren was walked down the aisle by her father.

By the end of the reception the couple and their 97 guests were bringing down the house to Rihanna's "We Found Love,” a song befitting of their origin story, having found love in a way that truly exceeded each of their expectations.

Megan & Jonathon's reception was a beautifully tearful and fun as their ceremony. Megan's sisters and Jonathon's best men gave lovely toasts, leaving everyone overwhelmed with emotions!

The tear continued to flow with Megan's father-daughter dance but quickly brought the joy as the two broke out into a surprise, choreographed dance to Let’s Groove by Earth, Wind & Fire. The newlyweds ended the night with a sparkler send-off to enjoy their honeymoon!

Their venue, , told the story as an old schoolhouse converted into a gorgeous wedding venue in Orlando, FL.

While in Bali, Fernando asked Shamirah for her hand in marriage at sunrise while they were walking on the beach. The couple had a well executed and intentionally planned fall wedding with the Rocky Mountains on full display as their backdrop. Only a lucky group of 50 guests were extended an invitation to witness the couple be united atop the tree-lined crags of Vail, CO at the well-known Camp Hale.

Shamirah and Fernando allowed some of their quirks to shine in the details of their wedding, for example having a vintage van turned-photo booth complete with costumes and props and a caricature artist. Their sense of humor and the idea of taking on life with a happy-go-lucky mentality made their wedding that much more memorable.

At a small high school during senior year, Shamirah and Fernando’s paths crossed when both were enrolled in a business class as an elective. Although the school wasn’t large it had taken nearly all of their tenure as students there to notice one another. Fernando was immediately taken aback by Shamirah’s beauty and smarts.

A mutual friend helped broker their first conversation – the same friend they later would enlist to be the officiant at their wedding ceremony. Fernando asked Shamirah to go to their final prom together, and from then on, their relationship stood strong.

Jaz and DeLani wed on October 29, 2022 in Vienna, VA in a late afternoon ceremony at Westwood Country Club. Their color scheme was black and white because they wanted a timeless look, and all guests were required to wear the colors as well.

Keeping on theme, the couple had a black and white photo booth for their guests to use during the reception. Jaz and DeLani danced the night away with about a hundred other guests to a mixture of reggae, hip-hop, r&b, and gogo music. They had a wonderful night filled with happy tears and laughter.

Even though Jaz and DeLani went to the same university, they did not meet until DeLani “slid into Jaz’s DMs” after graduation. One day after dating for some time, the couple had a vacation planned. As Jaz was packing for it and cleaning the house the day before they planned to leave, DeLani was pacing around the house silently. Jaz got so caught up in her cleaning that she brushed DeLani off each time he called for her to come downstairs.

When she finally gave in and went down, she found the lights dim and heard “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran playing. DeLani was down on one knee. Jaz says of the proposal, “My first reaction was "[DeLani] made me clean my own house before proposing.” Jaz was wearing a graphic tee, running shorts and slippers, which was not how she imagined she would look when she was proposed to, but luckily her hair and nails had recently been done for her vacation. She said yes before DeLani even had a chance to finish asking for her hand in marriage.

Taylor & Jackson made reservations at a downtown bar and dressed to impress: elegant and suave. Jackson told Taylor they had time to stop before their reservation and took her to a lovely little park. Jackson hugged Taylor and then took a ring box out of his pocket and proposed to her. “The sweetest thing is he recorded the whole week up to the engagement about how excited he was to propose. It melts my heart,” Taylor reminisces lovingly.

Taylor and Jackson took engagement photos at Union Station in April of this year. The couple plan to wed in January 2024 in Nashville, TN.

The details from Sarah & Nick's wedding, everybody! ✨

At their reception, polaroid cameras were provided for guests to take photos to leave behind for the couple to see. Sarah and Nick love to go thrift shopping, and they thrifted many of their table decor, such as records they had found, which they wrote table numbers on.

The couple’s family helped them DIY other parts of the reception, such as the flower arrangements made by Sarah’s mother, and Nick’s mother and his sister. Sarah’s grandfather, a retired engineer, built blue and white installations out of wood.

When Nick, a musician, played a show with a close friend of Sarah’s, he had no idea that he would meet his soulmate through him!

Soon after, Sarah’s friend invited Nick to a hangout that she would be attending, and left the two alone together to talk. Two days later, the couple went on their first date, and they have been together ever since!

Christin & Jonathon wanted the overall vibe of both their engagement and subsequent wedding to be classic and elegant. They also wanted to pay tribute to Florida A&M, where they had been united. The couple wed in Orlando, FL in December 2021 at the Orlando Museum of Art. They arrived at their reception in a white Bentley, and during their first dance, smoke machines made it so the couple looked as if they were dancing on clouds. It was a truly heavenly night that they will remember forever!

When Christin & Jonathan met on the first day of their freshman year at Florida A&M, the chemistry instantly flowed. Funnily enough, they were in actual chemistry class! Christin asked Jonathan to join her and some friends for dinner, and soon after, their nearly decade long relationship blossomed!

Nearly a year later after the couple met, as the their anniversary and Valentine’s Day approached, D'Lessia could feel that something big was coming. She asked Tanesha if they should plan something, but Tanesha assured her that she already had everything planned: the two of them would go out to dinner and then go out afterwards.

On February 11, when Tanesha took D'Lessia out to dinner, D'Lessia was convinced that Tanesha would propose during the dessert course. She looked around the restaurant to see if any of her family members were there to witness it. When the waiter asked if the couple wanted dessert, Tanesha said no, to D'Lessia’s surprise. After their dinner, Tanesha suggested that the two of them get drinks at Central Station. On the way there, she pointed out a van to D'Lessia, who could not read it very well, because she wasn’t wearing her glasses. Finally, she was able to read her name on it, and then turned to see her and Tanesha’s friends and family holding flowers and balloons. Tanesha had rented a mobile billboard and created a slideshow of photos and videos of her and D'Lessia. She got down on one knee, taking off her Jordan Breds so they wouldn’t crease, and asked D'Lessia to be her bride. The couple plan to marry in November 2023 in Arlington, TN.

D'Lessia first became aware of Tanesha through her coworker and friend Tyler. Tanesha, a videographer, was producing an LGBTQIA+ web series for YouTube with Tyler. D’lessia, a therapist and graduate of University of Tennessee-Knoxville and Syracuse University, began watching Tanesha’s videos every week. In October 2020, Tanesha messaged Tyler on Facebook and asked if she had any single friends, and to her delight, Tyler told her that Tanesha was available.

D'Lessia friended Tanesha on Facebook, and coincidentally, the two met in person for the first time soon after. Tanesha had been hired to do the videography for D'Lessia’s best friend’s daughter’s birthday party. Completely by chance, the duo walked into the party together, but D'Lessia didn’t introduce herself because she did not want to appear too earnest and reveal that she recognized Tanesha from her Facebook photos. During this period that D'Lessia jokingly calls her “stalking days,” she learned Tanesha’s birthday, realizing that they were the same sign, Sagittarius. It seemed like fate.
