I AM BACK IN JAPAN! (Again) ⛩️ and I got lucky enough to see some Cherry Blossoms, even though it’s SO early! I didn’t think I would see Sakura at all on this trip. 🌸
This time, I’m here for a business trip, so I haven’t had much time to explore, but I stumbled upon a few Cherry Blossoms on the way to the bus stop and some kind strangers took photos for me.
Who would’ve thought that when I started learning Japanese about 10 years ago, that it would help lead to gaining over 100K subscribers on YouTube, working at and with various Japanese companies, making a ton of Japanese and non-Japanese friends that speak Japanese, and learning more about myself.
Life isn’t perfect, and there’s even been some hiccups during this trip. I forgot to get the right ticket when I got on a high-speed train and the doors had already closed, my luggage wheel broke, I got on the wrong bus at one point, and showed up at the wrong location for one the hotels I stayed at. Looking back it’s kind of funny, but at the of the day, the food here is amazing, I love how sweet employees can be, and how people hold elevators for you and bow to you as they step out of your way or say goodbye. (And more)
On top of that, living in Japan has helped me to realize how much I love nature, and how much I’m more of a countryside girl, who loves spending a few hours in the city, and then can’t wait to take off my makeup and enjoy getting to an onsen (hot spring).
So I guess what I’m trying to say is, no matter where you are, try to find the bright side of things, and learn more about yourself. Even though I have a hard time doing that sometimes too. (I was definitely frustrated when I found out I showed up at the wrong hotel 30 minutes away 😆)
I didn’t expect this caption to be so long, but I wanted to share a little bit of my journey and my appreciation for Japan as well. If you can relate or read this far, OR have any travel hiccups & bright moments to share, leave a 🌸 below.
Love,

P.S. Are you visiting Japan this year for Cherry Blossom season?
