Members of Exclusively Inclusive have recently completed a new project called PhotoVoice, using poignant images to tell the story of the discrimination, isolation and other issues they have faced.

@North Yorkshire County Council is encouraging local people to step up their recycling habits. The council's service improvement officer for waste management told That's TV that Recycle week is a great opportunity to promote the recyclying services available in the county. Jenny Lowe explained why recycling is a great way to help combat climate change and why the council believes everyone should do their bit.
Scarborough Borough Council have revealed their vision to make Scarborough a cultural leader in the UK. The council have said it wants to use the iconic scenery, locations, history and uniqueness of the area in order to celebrate the borough and improve the lives of residents and attract new visitors. Arts hub Crescent arts contributed to this strategy and their Director told us why they are supporting the plan, and how their new partnership with Scarborough museums trust will contribute to the visual arts scene in the community.

Reboot North Yorkshire was initially aimed at supplying school children equipment during the pandemic but has now been expanded to reach the wider community. Head of Stronger communities Marie-Ann Jackson told That's TV why they have decided to expand this scheme.
Chair of North Yorkshire Police Federation has spoken to That's TV about an Increase in attacks and violence towards the constabulary, seen during the Coronavirus pandemic. Chief Inspector Rob Bowles said it is important the public recognise the work of the police as they have seen Covid-19 been used as a weapon against officers. He added that the federation welcomes the recently published sentencing guildelines in relation to the assault on emergency workers act when he told us more about what is being seen across the county.
The Headmaster of Scarborough College has told That's TV he is delighted at his student's successful GCSE results. Guy Emmett said that on top of good grades he praised his student's resilience for overcoming home learning and the uncertainty of no exams this year. He described it as a joyous day for teachers, students and their families who never thought this day would come.
Saint Catherine’s hospice in Scarborough have launched their annual Sunrise Walk for 2021. Susan Stephenson told That's TV that participants from near and far will be completing their own sunrise walks on a day of their choice in September as they have adjusted the format due to the pandemic. She added that they hope to match last year's total of raising £20,000 for the charity when we caught up with her earlier today.
Partners in North Yorkshire have come together to tackle underage drinking in Scarborough. The initiative launched on 21st July with links to Scarborough Borough Council and North Yorkshire. The Community Alcohol Partnership advisor Alan Simpson described the project as a positive move for the area when he told us more about their plan for the local community.
