When I say selling process what I actually mean is 👇

Are you building connections, personal connections & taking the time to get to know your brides before their appointments?

Or are you just sending them to the link in your bio and welcoming them at your door?

Directing brides to your bio link is fine but that can’t be all you are doing. You need to be building authentic connections with your brides so that they are coming to see YOU, they are looking forward to seeing YOU because they feel like they already know YOU therefore they’ll trust YOU and buy from YOU 🧚‍♀️

A few simple ways you can start to build connections👇

1. Send a welcome message when they follow you 👋🏻

2. Follow brides back, engage with their posts 👍🏻

3. Respond to all comments & all story reactions 🙌🏻

Trust the process & take some pressure off of yourselves by genuinely building relationships ✨

Remember a wedding dress purchase is an emotional one 🤍

This is probably going to upset some of you but you also need to hear it if you want to make 💸

Ask yourself this..

How many times have you been put off of buying a collection because of the imagery?

Well guess what.. brides get put off too 👇

These stock images don’t stop a bride from scrolling❌

These stock images don’t sell your boutique to the bride ❌

These stock images make your page look cheap & cluttered ❌

& there just a few reasons, I bet those posts on your page have less than 10 likes too.

Now when I say ‘these stock images’ you know the ones I mean.. (I’m not going to name them) however some designers have nailed their imagery over the last couple of years, for example Jane Hill, Chosen by Kyha, & Made With Love. So sharing these images occasionally can be a good thing especially if the designer is hot on Instagram.

Think about your bride today, she is looking for an amazing bridal experience & she’s not getting that from this sh*t stock images.

She’ll get it from..

✨ Seeing you & your amazing team daily

✨ Seeing your beautiful boutique & a glimpse at the amazing service you offer

✨ Seeing your dresses on you or a woman she can relate to.

✨ Seeing your beautiful brides wedding photos along side heart felt reviews

Let me break it down for you..👇

Firstly you need to FOLLOW me to understand why Instagram for your business needs to be prioritised 🚀

I would spend..

• 5 minutes to post your content on to Instagram, ideally you’ll have a strategy so that means you’ll have a plan/idea of what your posting ahead of time. So 5 minutes will be plenty of time to post your content for the day without rushing. No panic posting please 🙏🏻

• 5 minutes responding to any new comments and liking those comments too. Respond with organic responses, remember to always be authentic. Questions are good because this leads to more engagement✨

• 10 minutes to engage on other peoples accounts, again comment authentically. Don’t just comment with an emoji 🥴 Emojis won’t build organic connections & they won’t get you noticed either.

• 10 minutes to post on your stories. Post everyday on your stories, please 3 times. This is where you will nurture your followers and build connections. Use Instagram features such as polls to be able to open up authentic conversations 💬

I probably spend around 3 hours a day running my account and my clients accounts too. I schedule where I can but not too far in advance as I want to keep content relevant at all times ✨

Wondering what you should be posting? 👇

To attract brides to your page & to your boutique you need to be sharing a mixture of the following;

🪩 Personal Content - For you this is sharing an insight into your team & your boutique because you and your beautiful boutique are what will make you stand out. Stock images will not!

🪩Content that brides want to share & send on to others, for example bridesmaid tips, something relatable to her and her bridesmaids or a specific date you have something planned.

🪩 Share content that brides will want to SAVE for later, for example wedding dress shopping advice, wedding planning advice. This type of content shows you as the experts & the algorithm loves a post that gets lots of saves!

🪩 Don’t just post for the sake of it, post valuable content. Content your followers & new followers will want to see. Content they will get something out of it.
If you have a new dress you want to advertise then take real photos of the dress, on someone or a mannequin. Please don’t share the boring stock images!
(Note - some designers now have amazing stock images, I’m talking about the ones that aren’t so amazing!)

Are your bridal stylists armed with knowledge? 📣

If your stylists are armed with all the knowledge then they’ll be able to deliver everything above. Choosing a team of stylists who are passionate, confident & friendly is also key 🔐

But remember although they are stylists, ultimately they are there to SELL 💸

I’ve had lots of questions recently about incentives, commissions structures etc. & it’s been really interesting talking about this as I myself was a stylist.

Your team are everything, if they aren’t on board & they aren’t selling then you need to dive deep as to why.

I hear social media being blamed for a lot, obviously I’m very passionate about how important social media is especially to the bridal industry.. BUT if you’re getting appointments but no sales are happening then the problem doesn’t belong to social media.

We’ve really analysed this in my 1:1 calls with some of my clients & they’ve opened up about their struggles. Just talking about it together can leave you with enthusiasm and fresh ideas! 💡

A little June recap ✌🏻

I appeared in Bridal Buyer after reading it for over 12 years! I’ll admit it’s a paid AD but I’m having a moment even being in there.. PLUS there is more to come ✨

6 new amazing clients joined us this month, such amazing businesses who are all ready to make a difference, including a new business in America 🌎

Held several 1:1 calls with some amazing women, talking all things bridal, social media & also making some beautiful connections ✨

We got some amazing client results, I don’t actually share these enough! Some amazing numbers coming through.. no matter how small growth is remember it’s all growth ☝️

I had an amazing overdue spa day, a spa I’ve had my eye on for so longggg.. such a special day ✨

I toasted my new business with my new business partner Rosie 💗

We viewed several venues where we will hold our retreats! Follow for more girls 🌸

I felt extremely touched and grateful for all the messages I received when I had a health scare, honestly this is up there 👆✨

& finally some overdue sunshine and time in the garden 🪴⛲️☀️

June has been a pretty amazing month, I’m so excited for July!

4 easy content ideas to attract more brides to your boutique 📸👇

Save this for when you are stuck for content ideas!💡

1. Film your beautiful boutique, make a little tour from the front door so girls can see where they are visiting & why they need to visit you ✨

2. Use a short clip of your dresses on the rails to share your top bridal tip ☁️

3. Share your bride’s wedding photos in a carousel post, tag all suppliers especially the photographer and tag the wedding venue as the location 💗

4. Share a bridal myth & break down the truth ✌🏻

Think of something you always get asked by brides, film your dresses hanging on the rails and use it as background for a reel. Drop the question on the reel and the answer in the caption ✨

Tuesday | Share your brides photos
Using a carousel, share one of your brides wedding photos with a beautiful caption ✨

Wednesday | Daily Reminder/ This is your sign
Film your boutique to use as background on a reel, write one of the above hooks on the reel and then for example tell them to remember to book their bridal appointment 12 months in advance ✨

Thursday | Share your why
Record yourself doing your favourite task, maybe it’s helping a bride so film yourself and a colleague or friend looking through the dresses together. Write “My favourite thing about being a bridal consultant..”
Then say what & why in the caption ✨

Friday | Share 6 reasons why brides should visit you
Use a carousel to share 6 reasons about why you are special and why you should be top of their boutique wish list ✨

You can’t think of a caption, you type something out 3 times and then delete it..

“I think you should go away and think about it”

Like what!?!? Why are you sending them away?

We’ve all been there where you feel you’ve done everything you possibly can to get this sale but the bride is still ‘umming & arringg’ & you know, in your heart that THIS dress is the one for her..

Try stepping back and giving her a moment, reassure her but do NOT tell her to go away and think. You’re basically telling her to go to another boutique! ❌

If a girl doesn’t buy on her first appointment you know the odds drop dramatically that she will return.

I was in actual heaven, surrounded by luxury fabrics, ruffles, sparkle & feathers! ✨☁️

Being able to help advice my clients on buying decisions, from which dresses to choose to which designers to stock is one of my favourite things to do!

It was also lovely to meet some of the team, working with designers who are honest, helpful & approachable is always a green flag 🫶🏼

Start focusing on these three key things if you want to build your Instagram..

• Building a community - make content that aligns with your ideal clients/audience. Ask them questions & make sure you reply to all the comments.. use your stories to start conversations too ✨

• Connecting with people in your DM’s - use stories and posts to send people to your DM’s & then start a conversation. Never reply to someone with just an emoji 🙄

• Enjoy making content - As a business you want to be creating content that aligns with your audience but that’s also fine for you to make & share. If making content becomes annoying chore then the content will be s**t 💩
