Pete Shredz’ love for bass music, specifically Jungle & DnB, started at a young age through exposure to jungle music while travelling to the UK and hearing the early sounds of the genre. His energy on the decks is always high, whether on vinyl or digital, and will keep your feet moving. Pete Shredz’ break out year in 2013 saw him behind the decks alongside DJs such as Bladerunner, Kenny Ken, Lush,
DCision, Everybody's Daddy, and the Fix. Pete Shredz also had the pleasure to closing off Valhalla Sound Circus’ Hive Stage with a two hour set! Shredz has since played shows alongside Saxxon, Tantrum Desire, Chrissy Criss, Blackley, Hedex, Gunman, Serum, Voltage and had Funsta MC host his set during the MC’s first show in Ottawa. Shredz also held a regular show on Cre8dnb Radio for 5 years and was joined by Cre8dnb owner Blackley on the double award winning UK radio station Rough Tempo during a takeover show. Pete Shredz started Capital Jungle in 2019 to help keep the Jungle N DnB scene thriving in Ottawa. Since moving out to the Kootenays BC in 2023, Pete Shredz has brought his high energy mixing into multi genre sets incorporating UK Garage, Baseline, Dubstep, 2-Step and more alongside his regular full 360 of Jungle and Dnb! Shredz has kept Capital Jungle alive, now working with Mr Mugz and putting on events dubbed “Gun Finger Fusion” to help revive the old school feel of raves. This means a focus on longer DJ sets to let the selectors really take you on a journey and focusing on the art of Dj’ing which includes vinyl sets at each show that will make sure you keep your gun fingers high in the air all night.
