Ahnna Alise Moore was born in Lansing, MI. Growing up her parents constantly played gospel and jazz around the home. Even with that surrounding, she focused on her love of basketball more then anything. It wasn’t until her parents were divorced when she started getting into different styles of music. Music took her to a place of relaxation and diverted her mind from the hurt and confusion. Her music collection expanded with some of the hottest hip-hop and r&b artists, beginning with "Evolution” by Boyz II Men. Ahnna would even sneak some of DJ Quick's albums into the house even though it was strictly against her mother’s rules. By the time she started high school, Ahnna was selling cd’s from her collection out of her backpack! She had a passion for getting good music to the people. Throughout her high school career basketball was still her main focus despite everything else. It wasn’t until a torn ACL that started her to think about other career paths. Ahnna attended Northwood University, majoring in Entertainment and Sports Promotion Management. She quickly became the “go to” person on campus for music and album reviews. Northwood was the place where she thought she found out exactly what career she wanted to pursue. Ahnna had to figure out how turn her love of music into a career. With Northwood’s teachings and her focused entrepreneurial spirit, "UrbanLax Entertainment" was born. Networking with many people in the entertainment industry helped define the purpose for UrbanLax Entertainment. Her passion quickly became taking the most unknown artist and getting their music exposure. This would become the driving force behind her company. Ahnna Alise’s hard work and hustle is finally paying off and taking UrbanLax Entertainment to new heights. After managing multiple artists, producers and DJ’s; promoting and interviewing Kendrick Lamar for an event at St. Andrews; managing social media and vendor coordination for the J. Dilla Foundation; traveling nationwide to different hip hop events, Ahnna knew that something needed to change. God was calling her to walk away from it all. This was a time where her artist was at his best. Doors were opening up and opportunities were knocking. This was a time where great things were happening…but her spirit wasn’t settled. The Lord wanted all of her time and attention. Ahnna tried balancing both for a while but eventually walked away from promoting secular music 100%. Now Ahnna is focused on UrbanLax Ministries where making God famous is the assignment. She still focuses on social media and music, showing others that Christian entertainment doesn’t have to be boring. All of her clients have a heart for the Lord and saving the lost. God is just getting started with this movement.
