A week late post but had a great time last weekend at Coffee and Cars Augusta, Ga and the CSRA Mustang and Ford Club first sunday ice cream cruise!

My marketplace find last night! The very kind lady I met with explained to me her late husband was a Ford engineer for 30 years during the late 70’s to early 2000s. The badges are all o.e. Ford part numbered, some with original backing! The 2 Motorsport pins are what originally caught my eye in the ad!

What a great day today! Started off the morning with the Bringing all the Smoke Mustang and Ford show at Carolina Dragway! Spotted a fox vert on the way down and another at the show! Won the burnout competition, 2nd in class, and $1500 tire gift certificate from discount tire! (Not pictured) Then we ended the day with a cruise in at the local Sno-cap drive in with a great crowd and great friends!

Ford Motorsport finds/pickups lately. Finally pulled the trigger on a vintage jacket that will perfectly match the interior of my 1984 T-Top coupe build and it fits great! lol Also picked up this Motorsport brochure from June of 1982. Some cool info about the racing side of things and even cooler pictures!

Had a great time today attending a few local shows! Took home 2nd place in the 80’s model class at the first show and finished the day off with a cruise in at the Washington, Ga town square. The foxbodies were well represented at both shows!

Local Sno-Cap drive in cruise in tonight with the CSRA Mustang and Ford club celebrating the 60th Anniversary of Mustang along with a few pics from another local cruise in right after.

Some fox diecast finds today! Paid $10 for the model due to damaged box but still new in package inside. The F-A-O set I had to pay up for but finally have one in the original case and box!

Final day at the 60th and some cool pic from the Talladega racing museum. Had a great time at the event and even more proud of the ole vert. Made the drive there and back with no issues at all even after beating on it at the autocross!

Some of my diecast and Motorsport scores from the 60th event! I have a few Motorsport pins but this one has different mounting pin. Also scored a Motorsport air cleaner for $5, a 1984 Georgia tag for the T-Top coupe build and a stack of older magazines for free with some very cool write ups and ads! Steve Saleen was also kind enough to sign a few of my older brochures for me!

Great day 1 here at 60th Anniversary. Pics from the road trip here, Mustang Museum Of America, and few inside shots from the track while setting up the parking lot! Sadly did suffer a little damage due to some road debris from lovely Atlanta but it’ll buff out lol.

Finishing up a few more things before heading to Birmingham, Alabama to Barber for the 60th Anniversary of the Mustang! Oil change and inspection, a good cleaning, and few long test drives to make sure she is good to go. Heading out Thursday in the A.M.

A little side project I have been working on, completing the factory brochures set for the Fox era of mustangs! So far, I have 1979-1986 completing the four eye years and even a 1986 and 1987 Saleen brochure/info card! Soon I will have 1987-93 completing the whole set!

My project this week was custom making a form fit carpet for the trunk compartment on my 86 Convertible! Since the carpets are not reproduced for convertibles, I decided to buy a $20 black carpet from Walmart, make cardboard templates of the interior panels, and cut the carpet to fit. It is by no means perfect however, it looks damn good in my opinion and makes my trunk compartment look a lot more presentable!

Scored me a 3 spoke non cruise control steering wheel this week from Turbo GT car at a local salvage yard. It needs some love but plan on installing it in the Ttop coupe project! Luckily, someone reproduced the ford emblem for horn button on eBay and already have one on the way!
