Seattle’s overlords of reverb and surf music are back... THE BOSS MARTIANS return with their first release in 16 years!!

VENUS & THE WESTERN SKY delivers six gloriously crafted and explosively performed songs by the brilliant brothers Evan Foster (guitar) and Erik Foster (Fender Bass VI), who are joined by Nick Schultz (drums) and Bryan Manzo (sax). Tracks like "The Sender," with its dynamic Dick Dale-style double-picking fury; the ominous and cool "Luna De Sangre ," with its dirty rhythm nod to 60s' surf legends The Pyramids; and the throttle-driven title track, boasting some of the finest guitar playing Evan Foster has ever written and recorded, show beyond a doubt that the Martians are fully reclaiming their title as America's Premier Surf Music Band!

These Copenhagen instro delinquents have combined two LINK tunes into a lækker (delicious in Danish, yeah) mix, bringing both "I'm Branded" and "Dinosaur" into the 21st century... We present The TBG's "BRANDED DINOSAUR" — a new swagger-full instro concoction for past, new and future generations!

"As huge fans of Link Wray we were excited to be asked by the esteemed MuSick Recordings to record a cover version for this fine collection alongside so many grade A, top notch, world class artists. Said artists were also earlier to the pick than we were, so we opted to do a mash-up of two different as of yet un-covered Wray selections to make our version as interesting as possible. We lifted the cool - but pretty counterintuitive - signature from "I'm Branded" and stuck it in our version of "Dinosaur".

As we had no chance in Hell of making a cooler version than Link Wray, we tried to go the darker - and dare we say: sexier - route. We changed the chords slightly to imbue the tune with a sense of danger and impending doom when we recorded the track in the world famous Tahonga Lounge Tiki (not tacky!) Bar in Hillerød, Denmark on the day of our release party for "You Can't Handle..." album. Another fine MuSick release that any record collection ought to include. If you can handle the "Branded Dinosaur", then you can handle that too." —Yebo
