The Road Traffic Safety Program, Drive Time, began in the 1980's and lasted for approximately thirteen years until it was disrupted by the 1995 volcanic eruptions, of the Soufriere Hills Volcano. During those years the program was jointly sponsored by Texaco and Nemwil Insurance.The program went through a hiatus during the height of the volcanic crisis and was only reintroduce to the Airwaves i

n May 2013. So far we have had sponsorship from a number of Private companies to include Johnnie's Mecca Fashions/T.S.O., Cliff's Bus Service, Montserrat Social Security, Guardian General Insurance(Trading as Nemwill), United Insurance Company Limited, Victor's Garage, Delta Petroleum Limited and Caribbean Alliance Insurance Company Limited. The program is aired live every Thursday evening on ZJB Radio 95.5 FM and 88.3 FM as well as the ZJB website at www.zjb.gov.ms.

HARRIGAN DIES

The 58-year-old stevedore who was injured on the job at Deep Water Harbour Cargo Port July 19 has died.

Port Manager Darwin Telemaque has confirmed Denroy Harrigan passed away this morning.

Harrigan, who worked for shipping agent Caribseas, sustained serious injuries after a reversing vehicle pinned him against a container at the port.

The Port Manager says he has a scheduled meeting with Harrigan's family and various stakeholders today.
