Yes, this was a real promo that appeared on Nick at one point (I wanna say it was in 1999) where Cartoon Network characters advertise the network's iconic Cartoon Cartoon Fridays block. The two networks have had a history of acknowledging each other, including a promo on CN with kids discussing Rugrats. This one never aired on Nick Reboot but it definitely would've been a funny add to the stream.
WHAT'S IN MY WONDER BALL?!?! 🤔🤔
Candy with even more candy inside...who knew *kids* would love these things? 😁
Anyway, there were a ton of these commercials in the early 2000s, and some of them were on nick reboot! We'll be including these in the new NR, coming soon(ish)...
HAVE YE WHAT IT TAKES? ⚔
The most melodramatic teenager imaginable has nothing on this 1998 pre-launch ad for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. At over a minute long, it used to fill a large chunk of commercial breaks when it was on nick reboot (which usually lasted only 2-3 minutes total between shows). Wiltst thou soar...or wiltst thou suck?😁
ATTENTION POKÉMON FANS!!! ϞϞ(๑⚈ ․̫ ⚈๑)∩
Back when Pokémon hype was sweeping the nation (at least for kids), it *totally* made sense to beg, whine and harass your parents to the point of insanity to force them to take you to see a bunch of people in foam suits dancing on stage... 😂
BLOW 🤬UP!!! 💥💥💥
This 1998 ad for the PS1 game Vigilante 8 had a pretty simple premise: kids like to destroy stuff and make things explode. Who knew, right? 😂
A Kraft Mayo commercial...featuring Patti Mayonnaise? 😳
Yup, this 1989 commercial featured none other than Constance Shulman, the voice of Patti from Doug, not long before the show started. It was an ad suggested for nick reboot, and though we're not 100% it aired on the stream, it still fits here (and the new NR, for that matter)!
INSIDE-OUT BOY...HE'S GOT GUTS! (No, not *that* GUTS...) 😁
Back in the 90s, Inside-Out Boy was a common part of Nick commercial breaks...so naturally, he made frequent appearances in nick reboot commercial breaks as well.
(Surprisingly, there were only 5 IOB shorts ever made between 1989 and 1993. This one was the next-to-last one, "Prison".)
Mr. Frear's Ears - Penny Falls
This short is one of the many few segments of the obscure "Mr. Frear's Ears" shorts aired around 1995-1997. The short involves a guy trying to pick up a penny off a street only to be disrupted by the footsteps of many different people walking on the street. It aired occasionally on Nick Reboot.
YOUR PIZZA HAS ARRIVED! * 🍕🍕
Could there be anything more 90s than sending your kid off to school with cold "pizza" and feeling like you're an award-winning parent? 😂
Fortunately, Lunchables left behind these iconic and eye-catching ads...this one in particular ran on nick reboot as part of the many commercial breaks. Feeling hungry yet?
* Not actually pizza.
Are you ready for the WILDEST paint set you've ever seen?!? 🌈🌈
Because somehow in the year 2000, paint with a sponge on a stick was a miracle art kit worthy of $19.95 (Plus $5.95 S&H, plus applicable sales tax, no COD's, must be 18 years or older to call)... 😂
Rainbow Art was one of several infomercial-type ads that appeared on nick reboot back in the day. Some of these actually had to do with real kids products...aaaaand others were like =callsears=. 😁
CHIPS AHOY'S GOT IT ALL! 🍪🍪
Could there be a more natural fit for 90s kids than cookies and big band music? It's like peanut butter and jelly, really... 😅
This ad and the many, many CA spots that followed (most under the "A Thousand Chips Delicious!" tag) were a fixture on nick reboot's commercial breaks. (Getting hungry yet? 🤔)
YIPES! It's the gum with 30 seconds of flavor (hopefully). 🍬🍬
Fruit Stripe gum always seemed like a must-have candy...until you actually got some. Still, this 1991 ad was a regular fixture in the commercial breaks on nick reboot back in the day! 😁
