The Story So Far
We are still a long way from gender equality in the workplace. The World Economic Forum reports it will take 202 years at our current rate of progress for the income gap to close. Female founders in the UK receive just 1% of venture funding.
Women are underpaid, underpromoted and underfunded. This has repercussions on women as individuals, but also on our economy – closing the gender gap could add as much as £250bn to the UK economy according to the Alison Rose report.
Frankie launched Women On Top to explore the key issues that contribute to the gender gap, to elevate women’s voices in the media and to provide support and community to today’s working women.
