Here's a very low resolution map released of what the Republicans have proposed for Knox County's new State House districts.
Representatives Sam McKenzie & Gloria Johnson are drawn into the same district. HD-13, held by Rep. Johnson, is renamed HD-90 and stretches from Cedar Bluff to the old East Towne Mall... talk about gerrymandering.
Democrats make up 42% of Knox County as of 2020. A fair map should provide for 3 of 7 districts electing a Democrat. But this is the hand we will likely be dealt come January when these are to be adopted.
