How cool I made it onto the Manning River Times video for drag racing last Saturday ###

Wow what a fabulous day racing at Taree yesterday with Mid Coast Drag Racing Association Inc. !

It was a day of adventures.....Racing started and we had one Qualifying run and then we had to stop and let the Royal Flying Doctor land and take off to take an emergency patient - I hope the patient is doing well today. We then had a couple of other Qualifying runs - where I was cutting excellent lights - I was beating mu opponents off the lights by half a second which was cool.

My first run of the arvo I ran an turbo VL V6 commodore - I was leading until just on the line - I had got a bit lost in my routine part down the track as I had wheel spun longer than normal and almost redlined before changing to 2nd, so I then was a bit out of sync and didn't get third properly. On an 1/8th mile you have to have everything going to plan to have a good run.

My 2nd run of the arvo was my best - I ran a Turbo KE Corolla - I cut a brilliant light .11 reaction time and he cut a .63 and I kept that margin for the rest of the track and WON HEADS Up which was wonderful I was cheerin in my car as I went over the line.

I was then looking forward to racing Dial Your Own after that with a 10.65sec dial in. But then the Christmas tree had issues and we couldn't run any dial your own races. But we had fun.

Only a couple of weeks to go until I Miss Dale Velvet-Rose Drag Racing at Taree Airport again.

Yesterday Mr Noel put my new Air intake Duct on - my old one had a split in it - I must say I can feel the difference in the sound and power of my engine.

I am starting to feel excited. Now to do a safety check this weekend and check my Spark Plugs to make sure there isn't anything that needs to be done prior. ###

Note to Self: I also need a new tyre pressure gauge as my old one is driving me crazy. lol

Lest We Forget.....

Thank you to all the Diggers that have ever served in our armed forces. Thank you to the ones that gave their tomorrows for our today!

Thank you also to the Women that kept the home fires burning when the diggers were away at war.

Thank you sooo much for allowing us to have the beautiful country we have today. ###

I commemorated Anzac Day by listening to the Dawn Service on my phone whilst sitting beside my candle on the portch. My candle will stay burning until Sundown.
