The Futures Network We are an outlet for work done around the world on using futures thinking and foresight for creating a more regenerative, thriving and equitable world. c.)

The Futures Network showcases intentional efforts made by people and organizations to shape their future... in equitable, anti-oppressive, environmentally conscious, spiritually conscious, democratic and/or participatory ways. We aim to:
a.) Democratize and empower people on futures studies. Your future is determined by YOU, not exclusively by "experts" or professional futurists

b.) Promote the

work being done in the present to shape futures - associating activists, artists and healers to futurism, not just tech inventors, coders, and entrepreneurs... there isn't enough media showcasing people going against the status quo, inspiring alternative future visions. Provide opportunities to slow down, catch up with ourselves and engage in REFLECTION and analysis (particularly with a critical theory & ethical lens) on current efforts of shaping futures, especially for those of us working crazy hours not having the chance for this. Thanks for reading!

Our Story

The Futures Network is an outlet for plural, alternative visions of the future. Marginalized peoples’ visions of the future matter so much! Who’s world are we living in today? Was it designed with us in mind? The world has become in the image of what only the privileged few who had the foresight, the guts and resources to create. So our question is what happens when we take long-term visioning and foresight methodologies into our hands to create more equitable worlds for all living beings to thrive?

We also showcase efforts made by changemakers around the world who are manifesting, realizing, and creating these futures... in equitable, just, regenerative, spiritually conscious, and participatory ways. We aim to: - Democratize and empower people with futures thinking using foresight methodologies coming from futures studies. We teach about futures thinking to young people and changemaking organizations. - Provide opportunities to slow down, catch up with ourselves and engage in REFLECTION and analysis (particularly with a critical theory & ethical lens) on current trends that might be shaping our futures.
