3Music Awards: Change Management, Reason The Delay ~ Representative Reveals

Anonymous Representative of 3Music Network, organizers of 3Music Awards, one of the most prestigious musical awards schemes and events in Ghana has explained why the delay organizing this year's edition, since it normally happens before Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, VGMA.

According to the Representative, it has delayed due to change management.

Baba Sadiq Abdulai who was the Chief Executive Officer of 3Music Network resigned not long ago to pursue politice. He is aspiring to become a Representative of the people of Okai Koi Central in the legislature.

His wife Rashidatu Yasmine Abdulai took over as the new Chief Executive Officer of the firm.

However, it has been assured, the event will certainly happen after everything is rectified.

Therefore, called on the general public to have patience and give organizers some time.

3Music Awards ceremony is held annually since 2018 to celebrate Ghanaian music.

It was established by the 3Music Network as already mentioned in the lead as organisers with Media General TV3 as broadcasters.

The Multimedia Group became the media right holder in the second and subsequent edition.

In 2020, the Fan fest which was scheduled to take place at the Accra Polo Grounds was cancelled and a Virtual award ceremony was held from the Fantasy Dome, Trade Fair La.

This was because of the ban on public gathering due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Award winning Highlife musician George Kwabena Adu popularly known as Kwabena Kwabena has made known in an interview on Peace FM, why he is currently offering a Bachelor of Science in Marketing course at the University of Professional Studies Accra, UPSA.

According to the "Asor" hit singer, it is important because it will help him gain a conceptual understanding since he already has the practical experience in the marketing terrain, artistically and musically.

"I am already in the marketing field as artiste. Considering my many years of experience and exploits in the industry, It will be prudent for me to have the theoretical knowledge of what I am doing".

In addition, he disclosed that he has an ambition of developing, marketing and projecting artistes in the near future.

"And then again too, I have the vision to groom, market and put artiste out there. So I need to have a vivid understanding about Marketing".

Also, Kwabena Kwabena mentioned that, however, no matter ones status in life, one can go to school.

"Humans must come to the understanding that we don't go to school to acquire wealth but to acquire knowledge and this can help to discover your talent. Therefore, it doesn't matter your status you can go to school".

He revealed after he was aked why he has gone to study despite all the fame and riches.

Artiste Manager and Ceo of Media Excel Dr. Kwesi Ernest has disclosed reasons Ghanaian Gospel events are doing great in recent times compared to previously.

Speakings on 'Anigye Mmre' on Onua FM, he indicated that brand positioning of the gospel musicians has played major role. According to him, lack of controversies and positive image of the gospel artistes perceived in the minds of Ghanaians have enhanced the encouraging patronage of gospel events in Ghana.

He continued to state that, Gospel shows comes in full package, such that Patrons are served with varieties of performances like liveband, chorography and many more.

He also added that, such events are safer to attend, as they are devoid of vandalism, chaos, theft, as adequate security measures are put in place by organisers, compared to the secular shows.

Ernest concluded by revealing that, gospel artistes and organisers have been honest to their Fanatics and Patrons. They are able to meet the expectations of their patrons and mostly fulfill their promises by bringing on the actual artistes advertised to perform. He juxtaposed to the secular events where Fans and Patrons are disappointed often by the organisers, whereby Patrons' favorite artistes do not show up.

Gospel musician Samuel Opoku popularly known as Broda Sammy has dosclosed in an interview on Joy Prime tv that, he is getting married to his colleague Diana Asamoah on December 24, 2022.

Gyakie has mentioned challenge she faced in her music career.

According to the ' Forever' singer, mixing education with music was a challenging one which affected her academics in one way or the other. But she was able to cover up with studies with the help of friends when she missed Lectures.

She has graduated with a Bachelor Education in international Business at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

Gyakie also stated that her breakthrough didn't didn't come on a silver platter as she went through every rudiments an artiste must go through to become huge.

She added that she is no more perturbed by social media criticisms but rather takes out the positives and move with them.

She touched on the fact that, in future, she will like to be called amongst Legends in the world.
