IN PHOTOS|| CFCST PE ROTC Commandant, Cpt Dexter T Ruma PA, conducted firing exercises to the Cadet Officers at Headquarters 602nd Infantry (LIBERATOR) Brigade, Carmen, Cotabato. The ROTC Commandant recognized the importance of providing practical training to the cadets, and firing exercises were a significant part of their development.

To ensure the cadets gained hands-on experience and develop their marksmanship skills. The Commandant took the initiative to organize basic firing exercises. These exercises were conducted in a controlled and safe environment, with proper supervision and adherence to safety protocols.

The exercises aims to familiarize the four fundamentals of marksmanship are the basis of being able to use a firearm both accurately and consistently. With an understanding of the following principles, firearm users are able to safely and ethically hit their targets more often. First is the Steady position, maintaining a stable stance, position, and grip to improve accuracy and comfort when firing. Second is
Aiming, properly aligning the sights of a firearm and focusing the eye on the target to improve accuracy. Third is
Breath control, inhaling and exhaling in an involuntary cycle to increase stability Lastly is the
Trigger squeeze, applying the correct amount of pressure to ensure stability and accuracy.

In addition to the fundamentals of marksmanship, SSg Roderick C Labrador (Inf) PA, and SSg Jonathan E Llagas (Inf) PA emphasized the importance of responsible gun ownership and safety. The cadets were educated on firearm safety rules, proper handling, and maintenance. The Commandant also ensured that every cadet understood the gravity of handling fi****ms and the importance of following safety protocols at all times.

The initiative of the ROTC Commandant in conducting firing exercises proved to be highly beneficial for the cadets. It not only enhanced their marksmanship skills but also fostered a sense of discipline, teamwork, and responsibility. The cadets gained valuable experience that would serve them well in their future military careers.

LOOK|| FINAL EXAMINATION OF THE CADETS OF CFCST-PEU ROTC Unit Has been successfully done under the Guidance of ROTC Commandant Cpt Dexter T Ruma (OS) PA with a support of PFC MOHALI M MALIDAS Chief Clerk/Admin NCO, and SGT JACOB DILANGALEN (RES) PA, ROTC Coordinator.

The final examination for the cadets in MS1 was a highly anticipated event. As the cadets prepared themselves mentally and physically, they knew that this would be the ultimate test of their skills and knowledge. The pressure was on, but they were determined to prove themselves.

Enter Admin NCO, the unsung hero of the cadet . With his expertise and guidance, he played a crucial role in ensuring that the examination process ran smoothly. From coordinating logistics to providing valuable resources, Admin NCO was the backbone of the operation.

On the day of the examination, the cadets gathered in the designated area, their nerves tingling with a mix of excitement and apprehension. Admin NCO was there, offering words of encouragement and support, reminding them of their training and the hard work they had put in.

Throughout the examination, Admin NCO was there, ensuring that everything went according to plan. He provided guidance and assistance whenever needed, answering questions and clarifying doubts. His presence was a source of comfort for the cadets, knowing that they had someone reliable to rely on.

As the final moments of the examination approached, the cadets pushed themselves to their limits, giving it their all. The sense of camaraderie and teamwork was palpable, as they encouraged and supported each other. Admin NCO stood by, witnessing their dedication and determination firsthand.

Finally, the examination came to an end. The cadets, exhausted but proud, gathered together for a debriefing. Admin NCO congratulated them on their hard work and reminded them that this was just the beginning of their journey. They had proven themselves capable, but there was still much more to learn and accomplish.

In the end, the final examination of the cadets in MS1, with the help of Admin NCO, ROTC Coordinator and especially to the efforts of all Cadet Officers was a testament to the dedication and commitment of those involved. It was a challenging yet rewarding experience that would shape the cadets' future in the military. And as they moved forward, they knew they could always count on Admin NCO for guidance and support.

Meanwhile, Vice-Mayor MUHYRYN SULTAN-CASI challenges the whole ROTC Pikit Unit to conduct the tirocinium outdoor to test their strength and capabilities. The successful conduct of the whole day's training was supervised by the military troops of the 602nd Infantry (LIBERATOR) Brigade and 90th Infantry (Bigkis-Lahi) Battalion which aimed to master the Dismounted Drills, Marching training, Dismantle of Rifles, and Parade Drills in relation to the preparation for the upcoming annual ROTC activity the Presentation Of Sponsors (POS).

JOINT CEREMONY—DONNING OF RANKS OF CADETS OFFICERS OF CFCST-PEU ROTC Unit Has been successfully done under the supervision of CPT DEXTER T RUMA PA, Commandant; PFC MOHALI M MALIDAS Chief Clerk/Admin NCO, and SGT JACOB DILANGALEN (RES) PA, ROTC Coordinator.

On November 18, 2023, the CFCST-PEU ROTC Unit conducted the Donning of Ranks to Newly Promoted Cadet Officers and Turn Over of Command Ceremony at the CFCST-PEU Social Hall, Batulawan, Pikit Cotabato.

The ceremony was formally welcomed by Sgt Jacob Dilangalen (Res) PA, ROTC Coordinator, the Turn Over of Command was designated by 1LT MARK JOED R DE GUZMAN (INF) PA, Assistant Commandant and the Donning of Ranks was given by the very own CPT Dexter T RUMA (OS) PA, Commandant and training directorate


CPT DEXTER T RUMA (OS) PA, Commandant, congratulated the whole Cadet Corps Officers and reminded them to be responsible to the ranks and position that has been entrusted with them wholeheartedly.

He also assured the proper implementation of ROTC program in CFCST-PEU to enchance the quality of its products and cultivate the future reservists and member of the Philippine Army

LOOK|| PIKIT, COTABATO–CFCST-PEU ROTC Unit, conducted weekly regular training under the supervision of CPT DEXTER T RUMA, Commandant, PFC MOHALI M MALIDAS Chief Clerk/Admin NCO, and SGT JACOB DILANGALEN (RES) PA, ROTC Coordinator and the CFCST-PEU Corps of Cadets headed by C/MAJ ALI DALANDANGAN 1CL.

On November 11, 2023 the CFCST-PEU ROTC Unit successfully conducted a regular reporting and weekly training at Batulawan Elementary School ground and parade ground of CFCST-PEU Campus. The list of attendees were more than five hundred (500) cadets who were trained through a Dismounted Drills in Marching.

One of the highlights of the activity was the lecture on HUMANITARIAN ASSISTANCE AND DISASTER RESPONSE given by the very own PVT RAYLAN JAY D MAGDATO (INF) PA, where he tackled the purposes and goals of HADR,that is to save lives, alleviate suffering and maintain human dignity during and after man-made crises specifically the war conflicts, disasters caused by natural hazards, as well as to prevent and strengthen preparedness for when such situations occur.

CPT RUMA congratulated the whole training directorate and Cadets Corps for another successful and phenicate training day.

He also assured the proper implementation of ROTC program in CFCST-PEU to enchance the quality of its products and cultivate the future reservists and member of the Philippine Army

IN PHOTOS//On October 21, 2023, the Cotabato Foundation College of Science and Technology, Pikit, Cotabato, Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) training program was conducted every Training Day (Saturday) under the leadership of Cpt Dexter T Ruma PA, Commandant, with 1lt Mark Joed R De Guzman PA, Assistant Commandant; Sgt Jacob Dilanggalen (Res) PA, ROTC Coordinator; Graduate Military Assistants (GMA) and Corps and Staff of CFCST-Pikit ROTC Unit.

The ROTC training was likely a combination of classroom instruction, physical training, and field exercises. The cadets may have learned skills such as first aid, and drill movements. They also conducted marching training in preparation for the upcoming Regional Annual Administrative and Tactical Inspection (RAATI). Trainers and instructors may have been Military Personnel and ROTC Alumni who have undergone further training.

Overall, the ROTC training was an opportunity for cadets to develop their leadership, character, patriotism, military skills and to strengthen the country's reserve force. It also provided a valuable opportunity for the trainers or instructors to share their knowledge and experience with the next generation of leaders.

LOOK|| THE CFCST PEU ROTC UNIT Corps of Officers (CCO) under the command of CPT DEXTER T RUMA PA participated during the Acquaintance Party on October 16, 2023 held in Pikit Gymnasium, Batulawan, Pikit Cotabato.

The CFCST-PEU Cadet Corps of Officers (CCO) together with the the personnel of Pikit MPS, participated by providing security during the Cotabato Foundation College of Science and Technology (CFCST PEU) Acquaintance party by ensuring the safety of the attendees.

The Cadet Corps, under the supervision of Sgt JACOB DILANGALEN (Res) PA, ROTC Coordinator and led by C/LTC ALI DALANDANGAN 1CL, Corps Commander deployed the Cadet Officers in areas where they can easily respond on any posible scenario that may need their assistance.

At the end of then event, DR. ALI DILANGALEN, President of the CFCST express his gratitude and appreciation to the personnel in charge that made the event possible especially to CFCST-PEU Cadet Corps of Officers.

LOOKI| Rotary Club of Quirino conducts a lecture to the ROTC trainees of Cotabato Foundation College of Science and Technology (CFCST)

As education is a powerful tool for peace-building, the Rotary Club of Quirino headed by Ms. Leany "Leigh" Brawner, Hope Creating President in collaboration with the 602nd Infantry (LIBERATOR) Brigade conducts a lecture this Saturday morning October 14, 2023 at Cotabato Foundation College and Technology (CFCST), Brgy Batulawan, Pikit, Cotabato.

Ms. Marichu V. Otañes, a Member of the Rotary Club of Quirino rendered a lecture entitled: “Youth as Instrument of Peace” to more than 500 ROTC trainees of CFCST. The topic highlights the role of youth in fostering peace; embracing and understanding diversity whether in cultural; religious beliefs; gender or ideology and mostly equipping youth with essential knowledge to prevent them from engaging in violent extremist activities and the use of illegal drugs.

Furthermore, this activity aims to articulate the youth in pursuing peace advocacy as the young generations of today have an extraordinary opportunity to shape the community into a more peaceful and inclusive place.

In addition, conducting the lecture is also part of the 602nd Brigade's peace advocacies to shape future generations who are aware of the importance of peace and unity; respect for diversity; and law-abiding citizens who play an important role in socio-economic development within the unit's area of ​​responsibility

Meanwhile, during the discussion students were very active as they shared their ideals and thoughts on how the youth can contribute to peacebuilding.

The success of this activity was realized through the support provided by the local government officials of Pikit, Cotabato, and the security assistance of the military troops.

Above all, the Rotary Club of Quirino known for its commitment to volunteerism will continue such activities to cultivate the instrument of peace by empowering youth to build a harmonious society.
