This week, the GOATs take on Major League Eating, the Los Angeles Lakers, and whoever made the call to leave Caitlin Clark off the Olympic team, plus Curry shares some sensational stories about his time covering tennis legends Martina Navratilova and Chris Evert — as well as the one about pushing through to get a story that nearly got him booted from covering the Stanley Cup Finals. Esteemed basketball coach Rich Basirico and former ESPN SportsCenter anchor Bob Stevens reflect on their love for Walton's game, and the crew laments the passing of PGA Tour golfer Grayson Murray.
Curry and Coach B throw the entire Minnesota Timberwolves organization under the bus, along with the majority of the Indiana Pacers, while Curry calls Kyrie Irving "the Kanye West of basketball" and refers to Luka Doncic as a "little fatty." Bob and Curry clash on Scottie Scheffler vs. The Cop and Harrison Butker, as both exercise their freedom of speech about his graduation address at Benedictine College.

I made a new friend tonight in the most unusual way. I received a wrong-number call Friday, and a man left a message asking where he could find a broadcast for a state championship game between two schools I didn't recognize.

Tonight, the number called again, but I didn't recognize it in the moment and let it go to voicemail. He left another message asking why someone from Bluffton called him, so I texted him back to help him solve the mystery and let him know he had actually called me.

Many texts later, my new friend Louis is excited to join us one night soon on the LowcoSports Lowdown to talk about his experience playing baseball at Savannah High and Georgia Southern, where he was part of the 1973 College World Series team. He has several stories he's excited to share, and I can't wait to hear them. Here's to new friends, however you find them.
