Alright y'all. Remember a few weeks ago when I posted a screenshot of a homophobic troll comment on my post? I'd blacked his name out because even trolls deserve a tiny bit of privacy and respect.You're entitled to whatever beliefs you want. HOWEVER you do NOT have the right to harass other creators and public figures because you are so insecure in yourself that you have to make sure that they're "actually a woman" in order to follow their content. So. Here's the original shot, unedited. Give Madame Absinthe some extra love today, because this guy was extra rude to her, and please always be kind to eachother. 🦇🖤🤘

I keep meaning to post this photo taken at Force Fest and what better day to do it than on National Best Friends Day! I had an absolute blast attending Dark Force Fest with my best friends Madame Absinthe and ! These two phenomenal humans are the most creative, funny and encouraging people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and every single day I am so grateful to have the honor of being able to call them my best friends. I cannot imagine my life without them in it now, they inspire me daily to be the best and most genuine version of myself and I truly cannot thank them enough for their patience, kindness and encouragement. 🖤

Week 7 of Sew Fierce - category is Sports. Behold my badass roller derby girl:I present to you Sawblade Sally. She is a homage to many aspects of myself: She's rough-and-tumble; she's not particularly feminine; she's vaguely punk rock; but most of all, she's a badass who's strong enough to realize that sports aren't all about WINNING - they're about HOW you play the game & how much you support your team mates. Over the course of the time that I was at Sew Fierce, I became incredibly close with all of the other designers that were there. We are all very good at what we do and I was pleasantly surprised that every single one of them was not only pleasant, but friendly & supportive as well. When I first walked in, I was nervous that everyone would be cutthroat & catty, but it ended up being exactly the opposite. I was genuinely sad each & every episode to see one of my new friends go home & by the time we go to THIS episode, I felt like I was permanently bonded with the other designers & that we were all indeed a team. I asked each designer to add something to Sawblade Sally. There is something from each designer's table sewn to her now & it makes me extremely happy that even though we may live far apart, our art lives forever together in a small way in this design. I also spoke to the judges about the "team" of people that each of us has behind us invisibly: my family & friends have supported my weird art over the years & urged me to continue to grow & improve my skills & without support, none of us would be where we are today. I have shown that I can sew a lot of varying things: pretty things (Melanie Sunshine), clean but fetish-y things (All About Me), absolute FILTH (Captain Covid), thought-provoking horror creatures (music video) & now I have shown that I can in fact use lots of colour & an 80s flare in my designs. Sawblade Sally is a badass who doesn't give one single f**k if you don't like this look, or my designs are "predictable". She is wearing her Team Absinthe shirt & she appreciates the people who are rooting for her & who support her. To all the nay-sayers: Just you WAIT for what I'm bringing to the finale; you are not ready.
