Nigeria has a very harsh business climate. Businesses are closing down daily. In Nigeria less than 50% of new startups make it past the 3 year mark.

To do business in Nigeria you have to be very ready to fight everything because nothing will be in your favour, the government is against you, the competition is against you, even your employees are against you. So, it's clear to see why many people who aren't ready for all of this to opt for greener pastures elsewhere.
