Cayuga Lake Books Local publishing imprint based in Ithaca, NY. Welcome to Cayuga Lake Books. The goal of CLB is to find and encourage talented, original writers.

This imprint was founded in 2012 by three authors from the Ithaca, New York area who were looking for alternatives to mainstream publishing. As an umbrella group, the three principals consider submissions; we must all read and unanimously accept a work before we include it under our imprint. Once authors are on our list, we assist them with the process of editing, handling the complexities of copy

right, ISBN, Library of Congress card numbers, bar codes, as well as seeing that the published work is available on amazon.com and through international distributors like Ingram.

Cayuga Lake Books is excited to announce our newest project, "The Cat Agent." This children’s story was the last completed manuscript by award-winning author, Alison Lurie.

Tom, a “twice-born” tabby cat, is recruited to be a cat-agent by Dr. Nancy, a veterinarian who notices Tom’s extraordinary observational skills. With the help of Lennie and Sophia, two other cat-agents, Tom goes on special missions, helping other animals and catching humans who are up to no good.

"The Cat Agent" is the perfect book for both children and adults who love a little mystery and all kinds of animals—especially cats. Follow us for updates on the release of "The Cat Agent"!
