I've never done this before, and the idea only came to me today.

I took this picture in Playa del Carmen, Mexico on Sunday, June 23, 2024. I've not been able to get this image out of my mind so I had it printed on canvas. It arrived today.

I've decided I'm going to offer this for purchase. I'd like to cover my cost and make about $20 on it, so I'm selling it for $60. If I get more than 1 request I'll have reprints made.

I'm offering it for sale because I think it's a good picture. I'm calling it "Facing the Storm." Franky it captures some of the experience of our recent trip. I might share some of that soon.

Clouds ahead of a dark storm, sitting on the blue of the Atlantic/Caribbean Sea, fishing boats secured, facing the storm on the sargassum and sands of Mexico; with my signature.

"Facing the Storm" is about rolling with the punches, remaining gracious and beautiful while standing strong amidst potential adversity.

This is about 2 years in the making; thinking, plotting, thinking some more, then redesigning the past 2 weeks.

So, here it is...my new website. I'm simply happy I'm able to do this. It's a culmination and also marks what I think will be a new stage.

It's to share my work with a wider audience: Sociology, my side hobby and business Prof G Entertainment Services, my photography, my efforts at videography and droneography...

To be clear, I'm approaching this from a creative/sharing perspective. I sometimes get contractual work from what I do, and that's cool too.

There's a lot here, so hopefully some will take a look.

This is family friendly, and non drinkers like myself will celebrate with killer salsa and luscious cheese dip options.

Quick pic from Thursday night's Garcia exhibit after party at . Spent a few weeks curating and BANGEERRSS...party continued on Saturday night.

Also brought some accent lighting, did a visual throw on the ceiling, and repurposed TVs for visualizations and a rolling Garcia themed pic movie.

Good time playing choice cuts for our locals, out of staters, and several celebs from the bluegrass and Garcia world.

Since 2010 I've worked hard to make each and every event special in its own way. I bring high quality sound, lighting, photography, and professional management to each and every event or project for which I'm fortunate to be a part. All of this and more at a fair fee for my clients. My work is excellent service and vibe first, business second.

Thanks to EVERYONE that has brought me along through the years! From DJ services, helping organizations launch that special event, making school events spectacular and memorable, to photography to last a lifetime...it truly is a pleasure. Occasionally I get very special opportunities to help stage events that stretch my vision, articulation of emotion, and technical capabilities. Late this year I was brought in to do lighting design with the OHS Band.

The video below does not do justice to the live performance of the Owensboro High School Band's 2023 Christmas performance, "Snow Globe." But, I certainly wanted to capture some of this work to show others and for my memory of this special event.

A very big THANK YOU to directors Abram Barr and Aaron Klausing. And I want to give a special thanks for the time, effort, and commitment of the OHS Band. It blows my mind the talent and musicality of these students. Thank you for making this holiday season so special.

Our son is in this show and I've been tapped to do visual design...BUT, I'm definitely not biased when I say this is going to be a real treat.

I have some videos and pictures from this week's rehearsals but I'm not sharing anymore of those until after the show!

It's free and open to the public, and I can promise a warm, entertaining, holiday experience. Do yourself and these students a favor by coming out tomorrow night and experience the OHS Band with special guests from their arts program and beyond. There's a lot of talent in this show.
