AMASA

AMASA We are constantly innovating and evolving, helping to shape the media and advertising industry while keeping abreast of the changing marketplace.

Advertising Media Association of Southern Africa, AMASA, is a registered Section 21 company, and since its inception as a professional body in 1971, has been at the forefront of media education and training in South Africa. Join us for the AMASA forum, a relatively informal monthly gathering where keynote speakers address industry issues in an open forum and where we use the opportunity as a sound

ing board for some of the big issues which shaped the commercial media industry in the 70's … the formation of SAARF and AMPS; the readers per copy debate; the Citizen and Info scandal; the emergent market. The continued success of AMASA hinges on the existence of a strong and motivated membership. Membership consists of those who have an interest in advertising and the media that want to be active in the industry, making a difference through education. AMASA also organises media planning workshops, so stay in touch to find out more about these 4 day sessions. We are all devastated to learn of the passing of AMASA long time committee member and friend Andrew ‘Drewz’ Maluleka.
Besides being an absolute gentleman and wonderful man, he was hugely passionate about giving back to our industry. Andrew ran our monthly AMASA Forums and even during covid put together some hugely engaging AMASA Thought Igniters virtually. He was actively involved for many years and would have been a key part of our relaunching this year.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, colleagues and his Publicis family.
Hamba Kahle Drewz. RIP
