28-year-old boxer passes away after passing out in the ring during his first-ever professional match.

Sherif Lawal, 28, was rushed to hospital after collapsing in his professional debut but was later pronounced dead, with tributes paid to the London fighter on social media

Lawal, 28, was taking on Portuguese fighter Malam Varela in Harrow. He was rushed to Northwick Park Hospital, only to later be pronounced dead.

According to eyewitnesses quoted by The Sun, doctors administerred CPR in the ring. The other planned fights on the card are understood to have been cancelled after the incident.

reports that the referee for the bout began the count before waving the contest off when it became clear Lawal was in trouble. Lawal is understood to have been a member of St Pancras Amateur Boxing Club.

A number of tributes were shared on social media following Bentley’s announcement. “RIP Sherif Lawal” wrote one, with another telling Bentley “Sorry to hear that bro. Take your time, look after yourself”.

Garcia positive tests per source with direct knowledge: Failed for Ostarine in 2 urine tests on April 19 & post-fight April 20. April 19 sample also (from VADA letter) “screened positive but was not confirmed for 19-Norandrosterone pending IRMS analysis currently being run.”

Ryan Garcia has 10 days to ask for B sample to be tested at his own expense. So, not only blows weight by 3.2 pounds he also apparently was dirty for a PED and possible two.
