For the ‘Autism and the Social Rulebook’ campaign animation, I made a moving storyboard, in order to have a blueprint for the rest of the illustration and animation process. Having had this early on in the process helped a lot to quickly get the composition, timing and movement right.

One of my absolute highlights in animation projects was working on the ‘Autism and the Social Rulebook’ campaign for the Government of Scotland.

It was an exciting challenge to take on, especially because of the high amount of creative freedom that we were given, to convey their message strongly. Besides having done the storyboards and animating, this was also my first opportunity as an art director! We eventually used a combination of frame-by-frame, rigged animation and some 3d to bring the Social Rulebook campaign to life.

This project couldn’t be the end result it is today without the collaboration with the wonderful people at Eyebolls and the very talented illustrator Selin Tahtakılıç. For The Scottish Government
