ভূমিকম্পের মাধ্যমে আর যেসব জাতিকে ধ্বংস করা হয়েছে, তাদের মধ্যে লূত (আঃ)-এর জাতি অন্যতম। তারা কাফের তো ছিলই। তাছাড়াও তারা এমন এক জঘন্য ও লজ্জাজনক অনাচারে লিপ্ত হয়ে গিয়েছিল, যে কারণে তাদের উপর নেমে এসেছিল এক অবর্ণনীয় গযব। তারা পুরুষে-পুরুষে যেনা তথা সমকামিতায় লিপ্ত হয়ে পড়েছিল, যা তাদের আগে পৃথিবীতে আর কোন জাতি করেনি। একপর্যায়ে ঐ জাতিকে আল্লাহ তা‘আলা মহা প্রলয়ঙ্কর ভূমিকম্পের মাধ্যমে ভূগর্ভে বিলীন করে দেন। বর্তমান যুগেও বিশ্বের বিভিন্ন স্থানে যেসব ভয়াবহ ভূমিকম্প সংঘটিত হচ্ছে, তারও মূল কারণ সীমাহীন পাপাচার। মানুষের পাপের কারণে যে ভূমিকম্প সদৃশ গযব হয়।

বর্তমান ভূমিকম্প মহান আল্লাহর তেমনই একটি মহা পরীক্ষা। যাতে বান্দা আল্লাহর দাসত্বে ফিরে আসে। এই ভূমিকম্প মধ্যে রয়েছে বিশ্ববাসী সকলের জন্য শিক্ষণীয় বিষয় সমূহ। সংশ্লিষ্ট দায়িত্বশীলগণ তওবা করে আল্লাহর পথে ফিরে আসবেন কি? আল্লাহ আমাদেরকে তাঁর অনুগত হওয়ার তাওফীক দান করুন-আমীন!

আলেম ও শাসক সবাই ওনার ঘরে এসে সম্মানিত বোধ করেন। এই দুর্দশার সময়ে তিনি যেভাবে তাঁর লেখা, বক্তব্য ও ফতোয়ার মাধ্যমে উম্মাহকে পরিচালিত করছেন, তার উপর ভিত্তি করে আমরা তাকে সময়ের আলেমে রব্বানি ও ইমাম বলতে পারি। নতুনত্ব ও অজ্ঞতার ফিতনাই জড়িত মানুষদের ধূর্ততা ও দুষ্টামি সম্পর্কে সচেতন করে আজকের যুবসমাজকে সঠিক পথে পরিচালিত করেছেন। আল্লাহ যেন শাইখের বয়স ও জ্ঞান বাড়িয়ে দেন এবং সুস্থ রাখেন।
