How do I get more readers?
Whether you’re looking for more newsletter subscribers or sales for your book, there are many ways to reach new readers. One that still works is collaborating with other authors and it has so many benefits because it helps both you and the other writer.
It does take a little effort of reaching out and organizing your plan, but the results can be really impactful.
Here are three ways to collaborate:
1. Newsletter swaps: Feature that author in your newsletter and they feature you in theirs. The feature can be an interview or a little about a book or freebie you offer.
2. Giveaways: Do a group giveaway with 5+ authors where you each give the winner a copy of your book or a small gift, but you all promote it on your social media or newsletter. Usually you ask people to follow your social media and comment on the post in order to get into the giveaway.
3. Interviews: Getting an interview on an author’s podcast to talk about a topic from your book. In return, you could offer a newsletter interview (if you don’t have a podcast) or a feature on your social media. All these strategies get you in front of a new audience, build your fan base and support other authors. It’s a win-win for everyone!
