January 21, 1999 - 26 years ago today - Super Smash Bros was first released in Japan. A quirky brawler between friends in the Nintendoverse has since exploded into one of the most popular franchises in gaming!

Our upcoming 2004 XBOX game, Fable (episode drops on the 14th of January), featured British humor that aimed for irreverence…but nothing dared match Conker’s Bad Fur Day, which came out 3 and a half years earlier on the N64.

Who loves NINJAS?! Well, probably all of us in the 80s and 90s! 😂

In my early PC gaming days, I got into real-time strategies like StarCraft, Command and Conquer, and Age Of Empires. I didn’t really know what made one of these games good (and I still largely don’t) because I’m not very good at them and I can’t pick out the nuances. But one that I liked for its theme and charm even though I knew it wasn’t actually a great game was this one, Mob Rule.
