A week spent road tripping around Tassie's North-West 😍 We spent two days hiking in Cradle Mountain, two nights off-grid at a wilderness village and drove back along the coast to Devonport. We took our car on board the Spirit of Tasmania and had the best time! Enjoy x

I cannot believe we witnessed the Aurora Australis last night 😭

To say I was excited was an understatement and I still think I'm in shock 😂 Mainly because we had no idea it was supposed to happen and we were over 2 hours North of Melbourne, so I didn't think we had much of a chance at all... I was so wrong!

This is something I've wanted to see for so long but always assumed we would end up trying to chase it in Tassie or NZ one day, not inland Victoria 🤯

Feeling so grateful and in awe of this beautiful world we live in 💖💜💚

On Saturday we did a 10.5 hour hike with a brutal 1,290m elevation gain (we basically spent 5 hours hiking uphill) 🥵

I had a whole new hiking outfit and what better way to test it out than return to the summit of Victoria's tallest mountain - Mount Bogong!

There are a few different trails to the summit and we chose to ascend via the steepest, Staircase Spur. This was mainly because it was the most accessible without a 4WD. We'd gone up this way before but it was 3.5 years ago and we had forgotten just how challenging it was 😂

The views on the way up soon took away the pain and reaching the summit was such a great feeling.

The remains of an ancient volcanic plug, also known as The Nut 🌋

Located on Tasmania's North West coast in Stanley, The Nut is a natural attraction that is well worth a visit. It's also very hard to miss 😉

You can either walk to the top or catch the chair lift, which costs $19 per adult return. We opted to catch the chair lift up and then walk back down. It is very steep but the track is pretty short.

Then there is a 4.6km circuit which takes you around the top of the nut and offers great views over the coast. I actually couldn't believe how clear and blue the water was! I wasn't expecting it at all 😍

Snaps from a summer getaway in Phillip Island 🏖️

1 - Swimming in a rock pool in Cape Woolamai at low tide 🌊
2 - Walking the Cape Woolamai circuit 🥾
3 - A unique rock formation we found at a secluded beach in Cape Woolamai 😍
4 - Harlow happy in his camping chair in the shade tent while we swam/surfed 🥹
5 - The Pinnacle Lookout in Cape Woolamai 👀
6 - Trying to keep Harlow's skin covered at the beach because the UV was extreme 😅 I love his little Tesalate kids towel
7 - Our little hiking family, luckily Harlow still enjoys the baby carrier most of the time 👏
8 - We were super lucky with some stunning weather. Even if it only gets to 20 degrees, when the sun is out it feels way warmer on the island 🙂

When a walk at low tide leads you to find this unexpected rock pool, which is the perfect swimming spot 😍

Phillip Island is full of hidden gems but I'd never seen this one before. Only accessible at low tide, this beautiful swimming hole can be found at the Cape Woolamai surf beach 🌊

The water was FREEZING but I'm starting to become obsessed with cold water swims and showers. They are so good for you and you honestly just feel incredible afterwards 🙌

Does anyone else here agree with me, or am I crazy? 😝

Traveling with a baby is far from easy but I wouldn't change it for the world 🫶

Despite all the highlights during our Blue Mountains trip, Harlow did not sleep well whilst camping and even in the hotels I was lucky to get 3 hour blocks of sleep (which you'll see in our upcoming YouTube vlogs) 😂 We didn't know at the time but it was the beginning of a sleep regression and his two top teeth starting to move down and cut through.

Safe to say we were pretty exhausted the entire trip, so we alternated between Matt and I carrying Harlow in the baby carrier (although Matt did majority 😂). Luckily Harlow still loves the carrier so we still did all the hikes we'd planned except for one!

Our travels these days are just at a slower pace and we have to accept that we can't quite do everything that we used to, or want to at the moment and that's okay. These times are only temporary and I wouldn't change a thing 🤍

We will always continue to adventure and explore and even though it looks a little different these days, it's so important for us to bring our baby up surrounded by nature 🍃

One of our favourite places in Victoria 😍 We took Harlow when he was 4 months old on a little weekend getaway to do a group hike. We managed to do over 6 hours hiking and he seemed to love it, he was so quiet 😂

Anyway, if you're keen to see some epic waterfalls and scenery then check out the vlog!

Hiking through Silent Street in The Grampians 😍

The walk to The Pinnacle always seems to cop so much wind, so it's pretty surreal once you reach this section and suddenly there's no noise. The narrow passage is surrounded by natural walls which is a nice break from the weather!

The hike to The Pinnacle lookout can be done from a number of different starting points and we chose to begin from Wonderland Carpark. From here it's a 4.2km return hike which has many interesting sights along the way although we were in a little bit of a hurry this day to try and beat the incoming rain 😂

Once we got to the top where The Pinnacle lookout is, the winds were INSANE and didn't spend more than a few minutes there as it literally felt like we were about to get blown over the edge! We were lucky enough to have a clear view though before the clouds started to roll in...

Our first big hike with Harlow 🥹

We hiked 13km with our 4 month old son on Matt's chest and it's safe to say - he loved it 😂 Harlow barely made a noise the entire time, even when he was due for a feed! We stopped on top of a mountain for a feed and nappy change but other than that, he slept and watched the world go by for 6 hours 🤯

This was one of the waterfalls along the Waterfalls of Gar hike in the Grampians National Park. It was stunning and would 10/10 recommend this hike 🥾

80 days ago my life changed forever. I experienced the most pain I've ever felt, yet I was so determined to feel it all and achieve the empowering birth I had dreamed of. I still can't believe I did it.

I had practiced hypnobirthing, did a heap of research, prepared my body mentally and physically and when my waters broke unexpectedly at 37+5 weeks, I was so calm. I felt so ready.

16 hours later, our beautiful son Harlow was born. It was the day I became a mother and instantly felt an insane amount of love for our baby.

Everything about my pregnancy and birth ran so smoothly and I know 100% the universe had my back. This was meant to be. Harlow had chosen us.

It's been 80 days of intense love, tears, laughter, sleepless nights, worrying, cuddles, questioning life, realising my purpose, changing perspective, learning patience and I wouldn't change it for the world.

Happy mothers day 💙

Harlow's first camping trip 🥰

We spent one night camping at Leinster Flat (free camp) in the Buckland Valley. Despite the rain, we managed to cook a leg of lamb on the campfire and have a wholesome time as a family of three 💙

Thoughts on camping with a newborn:
- Need more than one night as feeding takes up so much time
- The rain made it really difficult as we couldn't walk around with Harlow until the second day
- Changing nappies sucks when he's in about 6 layers to keep warm 😂
- Grateful he slept so well, probably thanks to the natural white noise of the rain on the tent and the river flowing
- Despite some challenges we had the best time and can't wait to do it again

This rock formation along the Great Ocean Road is called London Bridge.

Reason being, prior to 1990, a natural bridge connected the arch to the mainland. You could even walk out onto the arch back then!

It obviously collapsed and now the arch stands alone in the ocean.

Known for its stunning rock formations, beautiful beach and incredible colours, Loch Ard Gorge is a popular destination on the Great Ocean Road.
