Crazy to think that Detherous ‘ album, Unrelenting Malevolence, has been out a year already! Thanks to all anyone who have streamed, shared, or picked up a vinyl or CD. The band definitely leveled up on this one and I loved Dahmer Art ‘s cover art concept!

It was also cool that Chris of Skeletal Remains tracked some vocals and the solos on their cover of Skull Fracturing Nightmare.

I think the first thing on my phenomenal Death Metal album checklist is "Able to render bones to dust", which is convenient since Wretched Fate obliterated this criteria. I got some serious Bloodbath and Entombed HM2 buzzsaw bludgeoning from these dudes on my first listen and it was truly an awesome first impression to say the least. These dudes make the style of Death Metal that I am all for, heavy and unrelentingly brutal. If you somehow haven't heard this yet… sit down, put on the record, and brace yourselves. You won't regret it. Give these guys some love! 🤘

A couple years ago I helped my friend Gus Rios with his CREATE A KILL debut album and on it, he had an awesome tribute to Bret Hoffman with guest vocals from Matt Harvey . Bret was a dear friend of Gus’ and I was very fortunate to tour with Bret while he was in Malevolent on my first ever tour in 2007 where I got to know him a bit. REST IN POWER Bret!
