Frank Zappa had high praise for Allan Holdsworth, praising his technique and creativity as a guitarist. In an interview with Guitar Player Magazine in 1983, Zappa commented on Holdsworth: “Allan Holdsworth is so good that I can't even copy myself. He's the best guitarist I've ever heard. I'm intimidated by playing guitar when I think about how he plays."

It is with a heavy heart that I inform you that Percussionist and mallet extraordinaire Ed Mann has passed away, Ed was a good friend to the show. He added an important layer to the music of Frank Zappa. He was an incredible talent. Instead of posting one of many pieces of Frank's, I thought I would post a ditty from one of Ed's solo efforts. This piece features Ed's lovely daughter Anais. Anais passed away back in 2021. She was Ed's pride and joy. Listen to the end of this piece as she. a toddler at the time warms your heart with laughter. God's speed Ed. And thank you for all the wonderful music.
