The central idea of our project is to give people the opportunity to have access to a media site, which is user-friendly and provides form of news that does not have the intention to shape people’s opinions for the sake of attractiveness, or manipulation. If the writer injects his/her opinion in the article or tries to draw any conclusion about a set of events, it is no longer proper news. Our aim
is to meet the expectations of a reader who is specifically interested in the World news, since there are currently not enough sites that focus only on world information. Media today concentrate on all sorts of things let it be World news, markets, celebrities, health, sports and so on. From our point of view it then becomes important to distinguish which of the information that come from all these domains are important enough to shape, or have influence on, world state of affairs and thus should be considered World news. We think World news is information that is equally important to a citizen of any country, because of its far-reaching implications. So it would not be appropriate to consider information about how Justin Bieber vandalized half of Brazil to be World news, since such information bears close to no significance for world state of affairs.
