العزيزية(الـكدوة) أول عاصمة جمهورية في الوطن العربي (الجمهورية الطرابلسية)، وكانت تعتبر المقر الرئيسي لشعبية الجفارة.
وتبعد علي طرابلس 30كيلومتر التي سمي احد اسوارها باب العزيزية تيمناً بها
وكانت مركز انطلاق المجهادين ضد الاحتلال الايطالي سنة1911 وتعد عاصمة الجهاد ايضاً في الغرب الليبي. وفيها اسقط المجاهدين اول طائرة في التاريخ
