Jamblaze Magazine A readers' digest for your traveling pleasure packed with fictional Jamaican short stories and artic I've always loved stories.

And the thing is I was exposed to several ways of telling a story. I remember being fascinated by the stories an elderly neighbor, Amanda Brown ,Goddie Manda would tell me about her life. I was privileged having Known Amanda Brown who I think died at the age of 99. These types were autobiographies but they were not written; they were apart of an oral tradition that existed long before the slaves,

our ancestors, were taken to the Caribbean. Then I became exposed to the radio dramas such as the "Fortunes of Floralee" "Dulsie Meana" and "The Story of Mortimor Simonds"..hola if you were apart of this era! These audibles were constant stables in my grandmothers home where my Aunt Carol and I would sit by the big ole time standing radios my Grandfather bought from England, to hear the latest in the saga! Duppy Stories, Harlequins and Mills and Boons were my favourite pass time growing up. Today because of my exposure and love for the short story Genre, I dedicate my time and effort not only writing but gathering stories from other people.
