University Grant Commission, UGC has declared twenty one universities as fake. In a letter, UGC said that 21 institutions are functioning in self-styled manner across the country, which are not recognized by the commission.

UGC said that these institutions are not empowered to confer a degree.

UGC said the highest eight such fake universities are functioning in Delhi and three in Uttar Pradesh.

It said that the remaining ten fake universities belong to the states of Karnataka, Maharashtra, Kerala, West Bengal, Odisha, Puducherry and Andhra Pradesh.

On March 20th, 2010, the first World Sparrow Day was observed and since then every year, on March 20th, it has been celebrated all around the globe with the moto to raise awareness among the people regarding the importance of conservation of the house sparrow.

The theme for this year being 'I Love Sparrows' was to inspire people with the hope to bring them together to celebrate the relationship between them and the sparrows by making them remember the bond they shared with these little birds for over hundreds of years.

Through this year’s theme, the main aim was to highlight how citizens from different walks of life can make amazing differences and can express their love for sparrows by telling the world how they are helping conserve the little creature.

Keeping this theme in mind, we have started a campaign consecutively for the 4th year of providing water to all the birds by placing water bowl (kasora) in Rohtak City.
We are delighted to inform you that you too can become a part of our campaign by placing these water bowls (kasora) in your houses or places where there is usually a flock of birds. All you need to do is contact ua and inbox ua and you will be provided with the free kasora and become part of our beautiful initiative and with the summer season knocking at our doors, let us all join hands in doing our bit in saving our environment and making our surroundings more habitable.

जिला के तीनों एसडीएम करेंगे ऑक्सीजन व दवाइयों की मोनिटरिंग
- व्यक्तिगत रूप से अस्पतालों का करेंगे दौरा
- रोजाना सायं 6 बजे देनी होगी रिपोर्ट
- जिला मैजिस्ट्रेट कैप्टन मनोज कुमार ने जारी किये आदेश
रोहतक, 24 अप्रैल : जिला आपदा प्रबंधन प्राधिकरण के चेयरमैन एवं जिला मैजिस्ट्रेट कैप्टन मनोज कुमार ने आपदा प्रबंधन अधिनियम 2005 में दिए गए प्रावधानों के तहत ऑक्सीजन तथा कोरोना से संबंधित दवाइयों की उपलब्धता की मॉनिटरिंग के लिए जिला के तीनों एसडीएम की ड्यूटियां निर्धारित की है। आदेशों में जिला मैजिस्टे्रट ने कहा है कि पिछले कुछ दिनों के दौरान जिला में महामारी के मामले तेजी से बढ़ रहे हैं। उनके संज्ञान में आया है कि ऑक्सीजन की आपूर्ति व रेमदेसीविर वैक्सीन की कमी बनी हुई है। इसी के मद्देनजर एचसीएस अधिकारियों की ड्यूटी लगाई गई है।
आदेशों के अनुसार प्रत्येक सोमवार, मंगलवार व बुधवार को रोहतक के एसडीएम राकेश कुमार की ड्यूटी रहेगी। इसी प्रकार प्रत्येक वीरवार व शनिवार को महम की एसडीएम मेजर गायत्री अहलावत की ड्यूटी रहेगी, जबकि प्रत्येक शुक्रवार व रविवार को सांपला के एसडीएम श्वेता सुहाग की ड्यूटी रहेगी। आदेशों में कहा गया है कि उपरोक्त तीनों अधिकारी व्यक्तिगत रूप से सरकारी व निजी अस्पतालों का दौरा करेंगे। इन अधिकारियों द्वारा ऑक्सीजन व रेमडेसीविर की सप्लाई व स्टॉक की जानकारी ली जाएगी और रोजाना 6 बजे इस संबंध में अपनी रिपोर्ट प्रस्तुत करेंगे।
अस्पताल की कुल क्षमता, दाखिल मरीजों की संख्या, उपलब्ध बिस्तरों की संख्या, मरीज वाले बिस्तरों की संख्या, रेमडेसीविर की चेकिंग व इसका वितरण, कालाबाजारी को रोकने के आदेशों का प्रवर्तन तथा निजी अस्पतालों में कोरोना मरीजों के लिए 50 प्रतिशत बिस्तरों की उपलब्धता के बारे में भी उपरोक्त अधिकारियों को रिपोर्ट देने को कहा गया है। उपरोक्त अधिकारियों के सहयोग के लिए जिला उद्योग केंद्र के संयुक्त निदेशक, उप श्रम आयुक्त, सहायक श्रम आयुक्त व सीनियर डीसीओ की ड्यूटी लगाई गई है। इन आदेशों की अवहेलना को गंभीरता से लिया जाएगा और आपदा प्रबंधन अधिनियम 2005 की धारा 52 से 60 तक दिए गए प्रावधानों के तहत दंडात्मक कार्रवाई अमल में लाई जाएगी।
